I used to go until they moved it to the Olympic Park. Now the location is extremely inconvenient for me.

Yeah, me too. (Maybe the organisers have heard of the little town I live in. It's called Melbourne.)
This thing was usually free with time-limited coupon codes. See these previous posts.
Does anyone actually go?
Cannot tell the future but the answer to "Did anyone actually go?" is yes. See https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/104055 where you could have gotten two OzBargain T-shirts, a Not a Bot badge, and met user #1. Photographic proof are in this post too.
Gee, you got 2 tshirts? I only got the one, but it was good to meet some hard core OBers
There were too many size L T-shirts and scotty did not want to take them back, so those who stayed for chat got an extra oversized one.
@alvian: Hey I met you, I stayed, I probably just said no
I go every year and this year was the most disappointed I have been in the 10+ years I have been going.
None of the big vendors bother anymore, there are just the expensive German racks, cheap Chinese hardware and the Indians spamming you for software Dev work in the walkways.
I do not think I will bother this year as I was in and out in 40 mins.
P.S I have never payed to enter, I always have 30+ free tickets from the various vendors I deal with. It's very easy to get free tickets for this, but its a worry that they are giving tickets out 6 MONTHS out from the event. My guess is they are gauging interest and numbers to actually attract exhibitors.
Maybe they will see sense and move it back to DH
in 2017 once its reopens http://www.scec.com.au/
They start spamming you earlier. :(
This thing is free every year. I presume there's an RRP, but I'm getting invites from 101 people every time it's on.
