        • @Possumbly: i ordered yesterday at mid-day … so i guess may be next week

        • "Order Complete".

          Ordered Tuesday night.

Should get here 2-3 business days.

        • where to use this number to track? I try au post. it shows invalid no.

        • @pengruijun:

So does mine. I think it might be because AusPost haven't picked it up yet? Dunno. I doubt I'll get mine before the weekend so I'm prepared for next week now.

        • @pengruijun:

You've no doubt used this but just in case: http://auspost.com.au/track/track.html

Yes, it won't give you anything remotely sensible until they've registered it in their system. I've had the same experience previously but can't recall if that's the message I got.

Their "error messages" are uninformative, guess that's why they pay the CEO the big bikkies.

    • Which one is better?

It's the same modem/router from the same company & same seller- but doing it $12 cheaper on ebay!

        Not impressed.

If Wireless 1 reps are around, I'd be happy with a $12 credit.

        • +1

but looks to me that it is a different model…

        • +2

the D7 (here) unlike the C7 (linked) has a modem functionality also..

        • Saw the same mistake on Whirlpool. Change a single letter or a number with TP Link Archer and you have a different model. Not sure why you'd be unhappy if it was cheaper given you missed out here?

  • My bad- too late and a long day.

    The $127 is router only.

Really dislike the naming structures of items. To me, makes it seem a deliberate obscuring of product.

Anyway- thanks for bringing it to my attention to fix.

    Cheers

  • ok so received the tracker number that is not functional and status on the website says processing …

    • See above.

  • God damnit Wireless1. I ordered, paid for and selected my home address as the shipping address. Receive an invoice, and both billing and shipping address show my ACT address. Good!

Then the shipping confirmation arrives a couple of days later and they've shipped it to my old address which is in my 'address book' on their site, but I made sure to choose my new address (which was confirmed via the invoice email received after payment).

I'd call them but am in Ukraine right now, so timezone stuff will make it impossible. Have emailed them but no response. I have the feeling that this is going to be some protracted shitfight.

    Yay.

    • +1

Rather than worry about the archer, I'd be making sure I got out of Ukraine OK

      • Haha! Though where I am is very safe.

  • Mine was delivered today.

  • +1

    mine was delivered today

  • i got a Startrack parcel today. I wonder if that's it?? Not home to find out.

    • OK arrived today. AustPost

  • Got mine yesterday. Very happy with it- easy to set up, and I'm syncing at higher speeds than previously.

  • Nice modem, pretty easy set up, haven't fiddled with all the settings yet, but looks quite customisable.
Solid performance and no drops outs yet (change from previous netgear rubbish).
Am using both 5GHz (AC) and 2.4GHz (N) Wi-Fi and the range seems to be much better than what I had before.
It now reaches all parts of the house and yard whereas previously I got dropouts when moving outside.
I like the guest Wi-Fi facility - peace of mind when others visit and can't access my network.
Have applied for the USB adaptor and received acknowledgement. Judging by comments on Whirlpool though, that is going to take quite a while to turn up.
    May not need it anyway.

    Good buy.

  • Another update.
Received the USB wireless AC adaptor today.
Very fast service (compared to some on whirlpool who have waited for ages) and very handy.
Modem/router still going well and providing rock solid uninterrupted service.

Strange thing though, there was not a USB extension cable supplied with the adaptor.
Not really needed, but might have been handy.

    • Got mine today..It's massive!

      USB adapter that is.

    • Mine arrived yesterday.

  • Mine here yesterday, as well. I was shocked, actually— hasn't even been two weeks since I sent in the "paperwork" online…

    :)

PS- I've read of ocnnectivity issues for some folks. The answer is to only load the driver for the dongle & let Windows handle the connection.
