Lidar one on big discount as well $299 - backorder.

    • ISP - is this worth it?

      • For the price I'd say so, personally haven't used it.

Not sure why I got downvoted, guess they don't like discounts.

This place has got a really weird vibe going with the downvotes and no explanations.

          • -3

@try2bhelpful: you can wear unwarranted downvotes like a badge of honour, you know you've created dissonance in the minds of the sheeple

            • -7

@illogicalerror: I do actually, but i really want to get under someone’s skin with an outlandish comment. Downvoting innocuous comments is just pathetic.

    • Now this is a deal

The one linked shows $649 and there is others but none at $299 - What model are you talking about?
Is it the RV30 for $249 or the RV30CMop for $219

2019 called. Wants it's "mopping" "technology" back.

    • 2019 is about how old my current mopping robot is. What's the current state of the art in robot mopping tech?

      • +1

Newer units have active scrubbing with multiple spinning mop heads rather than just a wet rag running over the floor. More expensive ones will fill and empty clean/dirty water and clean it's own mop pads too. Pretty cool stuff

        • +3

          This is $199

You can pretty much sell it as spare parts and get more than $199 back.

        • any links to one of these ? only seen mopping robots that are dedicated mopping robots

  • 2000pa tho

      It sucks

  • My Roborock Q8+ order was cancelled by JB.

    Is this any good??

    • +3

No. It's junk. Lidar is a minimum requirement for a robot vacuum else you'll be greatly disappointed.
Not all robot vacuums are equal and specs don't mean everything. Roborock have superior mapping algorithms which have never failed me in all the years I've used them - probably around 10 yrs at least. They just work. Viomi had great specs but junk mapping and regularly screws up the map resulting in the need to redo the entire house and manually update all the zones and no go areas. Seriously painful and time consuming when it happens. Takes no less than an hour for me.

My Xiaomi Gen 1 (made by Roborock) is still working and now used in my garage.
My Xiaomi Roborock S50 also still works.
My Viomi S9 had its battery die shortly after the warranty expires. Also has the map reset every now and then.
My Roborock Q7 Max is great though I wonder whether the old style brush rollers are better than the new foam roller the Q7 Max has.
