  • Got this system for $270/$280ish from memory when Bunnings had some crazy deal and price matched at OW maybe a year ago.
    Incredibly happy with it
Hadn’t had a mesh before, set up and control is great

How many deco's can we connect? I've got a big place, does 2 pack of 3 each help? Like can they be connected as a mesh?

  • No access to commercial ☹️

    • Westpac account gets you access, if you have one or know someone who does.

  • What’s the price jump from these to ones with 2.5gb ports? Can’t decide if I should just get something like this or wait for cheaper ones as the 2.5gb nbn plans should be out next year

      TP-Link Deco BE25 BE5000 Mesh Router Wi-Fi 7 System (3-Pack) $459 Delivered @ Amazon AU.
      2x 2.5GbE ports on each Deco BE25.

The speed tiers are 2000/100 (HFC), 2000/200 (FTTP) and 2000/500 (FTTP).

      • $381 for the BE25's from GGC
Also the Deco XE75 3 pack is $445 from GGC

        • Good deal on the Deco BE25 if you have TGGC access.

TP-Link Deco XE75 has 3x Gigabit ethernet ports and is not capable of 2Gbps.

TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro has 1x 2.5GbE WAN port but the 2x LAN ports are Gigabit.

  • I also this priced matched at OW for $288.34 in September.

I was concerned that it was going to use a SPIDER mesh design (one main + two direct extension) but TP-Link updated the firmware to run Daisy Chain connection so that house has double brick walls, that it can go around using line of sight instead

  • Do these have a proper web interface for setup and monitoring or yet another childish app?

    • +1

I believe Deco Mesh systems are managed via Android/iOS apps only, no web interface.

    • +1

The only manufactures that do decent interfaces are either Asus AIMesh or corporate products.

    • Thanks for the info tof & rumblytangara.
I'm a big screen guy and hate configing things on my phone. It's a shame, as it looks impressive for the price.

The tp-link tapo camera app was a shocker a year or so ago. At least once setup, I could delete it and get the video streams direct to my pc. Hopefully tp-link mesh have better a better app.
