        it could be that there's horrible interference with the speakers. I've had that with a clock radio that had an ipod dock, when I used my iphone on it the speakers would just make a bunch of noise every now and then.

      I got one a while ago. its a usb charger providing you already have the cable it will work. I've used it on iphone 5 with no problems. Ive used these speakers with ipod nexus5 iphone etc. but its more convenient to use the cable to plug into it.
      Good as a little noise maker in the kitchen etc..

      speaker is ok, no charge function though.
      will work on anything with a headphone jack. with my ipod classic having the jack at the top and the charge point (30-pin) on the base i can plug it in (upside down) and connect charger at same time.

      rest of the package… meh.

      box had a $179 sticker on it… i pity the fool who paid that much.

        its not a digital connection it uses headphone jack and you put your 4th gen ipod onto it … upside down i think. its easier to use provided cables anyway with whatever device.

    Got mine today.

    It's got a sound plug that you can move left/right. So any device where the sound plug is at the bottom will fit.

    But there's no place to put the charge cable, so the device has to go in at an angle to get the charge cable in at the same time. It would actually work better for a non-iPod device where the charge cable is on the side and the sound cable is at the bottom.

    Got mine today with the original price sticker as $179…wth? I'm leaving that sticker on when I gift it.
