  • Any idea if it can get plugged straight into an AUX?

  • +1

No, it sits in the existing 30 pin port

    "Range up to 30PIN"
    What does that mean?

    • +1

Fixed. Oddly, that's exactly what's printed on the packaging too. LOL!

      • More likely to be 30 feet than 30 metres

        • Fixed (again). You're right.

  • Hi Forgot69, Is this has to connect to 30 pin?
I want to connect with old 5.1 sound system to work as wireless.

    • Yes, that's the idea. If you have a system with the old 30-pin iPod dock, this will give the system Bluetooth capabilities. A very convenient way to keep an older system from being thrown out.

  • Hi Forgot69, thanks for reply my home theater system don't have 30 pin ipod dock, so this won't work?

I saw Crator BT-1000 on the internet, but didn't find a good place to buy yet, then I saw your post.

  • Bluetooth's default SBC codec for A2DP is dreadful. Even at $9, poor buy unless bought for noise environment, like, in-car streaming.

    • Can anyone who has one of these comment on the sound quality?

  • Clarence St, Sydney and Mosman have no stock (called to confirm even though site says in stock)

    • My local store didn't have them in the "Audio Docks" section of the store. The rep who helped me look for mine found them among the telephone adapters section. He claimed they were in the process of moving things around a little. Worthy of a in person check if you get a chance to look.

  • Only $4.50 at Box Hill South. Discovered that thanks to this deal and confirmed it for myself.

  • Also note that the dock connector needs to provide power to the BT device for it to work. I didn't realise this and hence it doesn't work with my Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 when it's not plugged in to AC power. D'oh!

  • Does anyone know if this will work on a 30pin dongle that is pre-installed in the glove box of my 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander (or similar)?

    • In theory it will. OfficeWorks are usually reasonable about returns anyhow. Literally ask at the time of purchase that if it doesn't work in your car that you'll be right to return it. Buy, test in car, return if necessary.

      • Thanks mate - will give it a crack.

        • Bought one yesterday and returned today as didn't work with my dock. Was told you have 1 year to return technology products for change of mind (if unopened/unused). This adapter is blister packed though, so trim the edges off neatly so it looks resaleable just to be sure ;)

  • Hmm. Just got one on ebay for $6 to use on my Panasonic MW10, but the player is quite fussy about which ipods it will work with, and whatever my bluetooth adaptor is pretending to be ain't one of em.. bluetooth side works ok but player wont recognize the "ipod"

Wonder if this one will work.. guess can try and return if not.

  • Please can anyone post a more recent receipt? OW in SA has stock for $9, but won't match interstate price from 2.5 weeks ago. Thanks
