    good deal. thanks

    • Thanks guys

      • -2

so is "XIAOMI" meant to be a reputable brand?

        • Yes, if it's a genuine one.

      • +1

Thanks for dropping the price for Gold

        • ordered one
        • Waiting for Delivery
        • :-)
        • Received mine today. Thanks Rep

  • Awesome, going to purchase one :) thanks

  • +2

just fyi, official website price is about 13AUD (probably not including delivery) but it's currently out of stock.

    • And there's no GST i believe :)

  • this is good deal. paid full price few weeks ago :-(

  • +1

Bought from these guys before, they are excellent sellers.
    Thumbs up.

    • Thanks !!

  • +1

Have to scroll all the way down to find the critical info: 10400mah capacity.
    Was 18.87 USD from Banggood
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/159655

    • 18.87 USD = 21.28 AUD today considering local shipping and GST, would you prefer it from a oversea shop?

      • +1

Considering Auspost take over 10 days to get stuff to me from Melbourne, local shipping isn't the biggest drawcard for me.

        • +14

You've gotta stop ticking the 'stagecoach' delivery option bro…

    • +7

Banggood will take 6-8 weeks to deliver your product, and then you don't know if it is genuine.

      • +4

        Thanks for the standing up.

      • +7

Agreed, I'm never buying from Banggood again. Two items have never been delivered.

        • +2

Agree. I've had nothing but dodgy torches from bang bad.

      • +1

The XIAOMI battery pack I received from banggood was genuine.

    • +1

I bought the one from Bangood for ~$23. Would've gone with these 'guys' had the offer been there.

      • -1

Here's another one for you Mr Small Minded Negger. The torch I bought from Banggood arrived quickly and was as described yet had it have been offered by a local at a few dollars more I probably would have gone that way again. I'm basically a terrible person - in your tiny mind that is.

    • +7

Happy to buy here and support aussie jobs

      • Thanks for supporting, Aussie business is really getting tough

      • +2

Arn't these made from China anyways? Why not buy Australian made powerbanks

        • +22

What's an example of an Australian-made power bank?

        • +4

          @eug: welcome to the irony

        • +2

          @eug:

Yea its the "G'day Mate" 5000mAh made in the factory next door to Uluru!

    • +1

I am sure it is cheaper to source the fakes. Not so cheap to send it back to HK once you work it out.
These blokes are straight shooters, you will get a real Xiaomi.

  • +2

Hey guys, how does this compare to the ebay listings that are cheaper? Eg. http://www.ebay.com/itm/331311527860?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.…

    • +4

They are the same but some sellers sell fakes which make it hard to tell who is selling fakes and who is selling originals.

      • +1

People can get it 15-20 dollars, yes, it's a battery but …

        • +1

The link you used are showing a fake battery look at the leds and the picture. Its clearly darker than a real one.
          Link as proof:

edit: talking about the ebay link OP from my reply posted not the ebay seller posting the deal

    • +1

I think the big issue is that you're rolling the dice on whether it's going to be genuine.

      • +8

you're rolling the dice on whether it's going to be genuine.

Im actually going to flip a coin on that

        • LOL, thumb up :P

        • +7

I rolled the dice a few times but didn't understand what the result was, so thanks to EC I flipped a coin and it was either a yes or a no…. too easy, thanks EC!

        • +6

@Logical: I rolled a polyhedral dice and ended up with +2 stamina.

        • @altomic: that would be a polyhedral die, surely.

        • +1

to be fair "rolling dice" = gambling i.e. gambling whether its genuine

          "flipping a coin" = 50/50 chance i.e. 50/50 chance whether its genuine

Both are correct in this context smartarses

but obviously flipping a coin just seems more appropriate given the binary outcome. But still depends on what Jorkus is trying to convey

do you even english? do you even?

  • Does anybody know how many times Galaxy S5 can be fully charged with 1 full charge of this? I will actually go for ebay link costing $16.99.

    • I wouldn't be sure that is genuine. The packaging for these is now a cardboard box.

    • +1

It will give you about 8,300mAh at 5V. I don't know what the charging losses are with the S5, but if I assume it's about 5% and you're not using the phone at the same time, you might be able to get maybe 2.5 charges when new.

    • S5 + ultra power saving mode can make it last abit more than two days.

      • Ahhh ultra power saving mode = turn your smart phone into a super dumbphone.

        • It's better to have SMS and voice calls than no phone at all, I think. Of course you only enable it when you're down to 15% or so.

    • My S4 with a 2600 mah capacity gets charged thrice before the Xiaomi powerbank dies.Thats actually a 75% conversion rate. For comparison i have a well known brand Anker 8400 mah power bank which only charges the S4 twice giving a 62% conversion rate.

  • How do these compare against car lighter/car stereo charging?

I can't imagine they would be worse.

    • +1

Do you mean charging speed? It depends on the output of your car charger. This one will charge at the fastest rate possible (from a non-Qualcomm-QuickCharge charger).

    • +9

Well to use a car lighter charger you have to actually own a car first, I cant imagine being able to use it in a train. Then you actually have to be in your car.

With portable chargers you can use them anywhere, including the train

  • OP will this charge an asus transformer tablet TF-201?

    • +1

The output is a USB 5V/2.1A, Please confirm with the TF-201 tablet spec.

    • +1

If you can charge through a normal PC, then USB 5V/2.1A is more than enough - reliable and constant speed.

    • +2

OP will this charge an asus transformer

      Just gave it a go.

It will charge an autobot but it wont charge a decepticon . Apparently decepticons use more power

  • Rep, will you be bringing in the 5200mAh model anytime soon?

  • Hi Rep,

Will I definitely get the item by Wednesday next week if I buy this morning?

Edit: Understanding that this isn't 100% in your control.

    • As long as you're not at someplace like x'mas island. Yes, normally delivery to VIC, QLD, SA 2-3 business days, WA 4-6 business days

      • My Bad, I'm in Vic.

        Thanks for the response, buying!

  • Call me a skeptic, but this guy also sells these $1.95 lightning cables

Which going off the second picture & price are clearly not genuine. No warning about this on the product page.

Not going to neg him, because I can't be sure, but you take the risk with this claim of Genuine on the powerbank. Not something I'd be prepared to do from someone pushing fake cables.

    • Those are generic cables, we stop getting them as they're not meeting our quality standard.

      • "78 units in stock"

        "add to cart"

Seems like you are selling them. Did i missread anything?

        • +5

I would agree with the rep. Anybody can sell generic cables/devices as long as they are not advertised as genuine which will be misleading. There is market for everything.

    • +2

      What's included
1pc Generic Lightning 8pin to USB Data Charger Cable for iPhone 5

      • -2

If you're happy to buy from him then knock yourself out. Just highlighting that you're willing to buy from a store that lists

1m Lightning to USB Data Charging Cable for iPhone 5

when there is no way it's a Lightning cable (maybe lightning compatabile for a few goes before apple blocks it)

then right down the bottom of the listing it says "generic". Just calling it out so people can make their own decisions.

        • +1

I think the confusion stems from Lightning TO USB. IE Lightening plug one end USB the other. Pretty clear its not an Apple product though.

        • @King Tightarse: yep, it's reasonably clear if you read the full listing. Personally, anyone selling these cables I would trust less.

        • +1

@ChickenTalon: why? your logic makes no sense other than your prejudiced

    • +6

He calls it a "Charging Cable for iPhone 5" doesn't pretend its an Apple product or use the word "genuine" or anything like that. Its just a generic cable. Pretty clear.

    • +1

I bought my powerbank from these guys. They are genuine and arrived to Vic in 2 days.

      • +1

Thank you for the head up

  • +1

Will arrive before the Banggood ones

  • +1

These are amazing. Had 4 units which managed to last an iPhone 5s without a power source for 2 whole weeks on a recent trip.

Probably going to get half that with a 6+ however. Might pick a few more when I'm in Beijing next week.

    • +15

Why bother? With iOS 8 you can just use a microwave oven.
      :)

      • Look, I'm a huge fan of Apple Wave (woo, innovation), but you're not going find a goddamn microwave in the middle of a desert in Uzbekistan.

        • You could easily carry your own microwave oven everywhere you go, along with a large power bank connected to an inverter.

          You'll definitely get ripped then!

    • +6

Bet your body is ripped after carrying 4 bricks around for 2 weeks.

      • It's all up 1kg in a backpack, if only getting ripped was that easy.

  • You have any other colour preference rep?

      • But gold is more expensive :/

        • Unfortunately, gold color version has limited stock. As a result, it is not on promotion at the moment.

        • +2

But gold is more expensive :/

          Yes… yes it is.

      • -3

Rep we would appreciate you come honestly on your comments with all the information. This is improtant to build up trust with Ozbargain community.

You say you have Gold one which is at higher price (why?) "Our Price: $33.95 incl. GST". You mention you have another color but could not type it is more expensive ($8 more for the color?)

        • +13

Thank you for your suggestion. I have spoken to the manager. They have agreed to put gold color on promotion as well. The price for gold color has been renewed. You can now purchase it at 25.95 including GST with free shipping. Stock is limited. Thank you.

        • +1

Thanks Rep. Much appreciated. Buying one.

        • +3

          @mushtato: You spoke to yourself?

    • Gold color version available in the following link:
      http://www.mushtato.com.au/genuine-xiaomi-portable-mi-powerb…

      • You guys are awesome. Bought the gold one.

  • +1

i owned one of this charger bought in HK. bit heavy but do the job. Price in HK is like $13 AUD. so the price is not bad with free shipping. Just be aware of fake one as there are many Chinese copies of this charger and their quality is bad and may cause explosion lol

  • Bought one. Thanks Rep.

  • Rep - Can we request this to be delivered to Auspost Parcel locker??

    • Yes, you certainly can.
Please kindly let us know you require a GST invoice on your purchase comment.
Your invoice will be sent to your email after it's shipped.
      Thank you.

  • -7

Definitely making 100% profit on this…..It's like 10 bucks overseas…. Even with shipping……

    • +6

so what? they spend their time and efforts and the buyer will get it faster than from overseas. its called business NOT charity

    • +8

100% profit? You must be forgetting Australia Post shipping costs, local salaries, GST, and other costs involved in running a business in Australia.

      • +1

Aussie business is losing the battle, as we're ourself not even supporting them.
A great thank you for people like you knows how a real business operating here in Australia.
        Cheers
