        • I'm all for supporting an Australian business, but if I buy from o/s for considerably cheaper and you don't provide a free postal return service if it's fake then you can understand I might not be willing to take the chance to pay for something that would therefore both cost more and still be fake.

Even if it is genuine - I can't see how it can easily/cheaply be returned to this seller's home in Sydney if there were a warranty problem. Especially from Adelaide, where I think you are located.

Does Australia Post offer a road only service from Adelaide to Sydney for small parcels?

        • @erwinsie: people have different opions, that's nature :D

          Please answer some questions directly.

          In reply to:-
"So I have to buy online first or just go to your shop if you have one because your address doesn't seem is a shop."

          You said:-
          "Yes you can."

Can one buy and pick up from you? If so. how and where?

Just how do you send these items via Australia Post?
Do you lie about the contents of the parcel? Or does AusPost offer a Parcel Service that only delivers by Road?

Will you offer to cover the cost of returning an item is it not genuine? If so, how?

If this item fails while under warranty, just how can one return it to you?

  • How heavy is this?

  • Seems to get good reviews http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2014/04/lightning-review-xiaomis-p…

I have bought this and hope its not a fake……….

    • The reason i got this brand is because of three reasons

      1. They claim 9 to 10 safety mechanisms.Impressive!!

      2. They claim actual output of 93% of battery capacity which would be staggering if true.I have always got around 65% of actual stated capacity at the end point with every brand because of unavoidable conversion losses. However the review from gizmodo agrees with them. Interesting…….

      3. The cost is so cheap that its unbelievable. The raw samsung 18650 batteries of 4 X 2600mah would cost around 16$ for us.

      4. The brand seems to be well regarded as long as its not fake of course.

    • The gearbest link is not XIAOMI

      • oops ur right.Dang!!I got the link from a google search for XIAOMI. Serves me right!! Lets see if i can cancel it………..

  • I just got mine, fast 1 day del to Sydney! Looks to be real http://www.spemall.com/forum/topic/1109-how-to-tell-xiaomi-p…

    • 100% real, no worries

    • I just got mine, fast 1 day del to Sydney!

I know that you said that you were in Sydney, and so is this seller. However, what method was used for the delivery? If Australia Post, was the parcel correctly labeled as Road Only?

Seriously, if you don't want it, just don't buy it….

Seriously, if you don't want it, just don't buy it….

Are you freaking serious? I am worried that it may be (has been) confiscated before it gets (got to) me. These items can't be sent via 'normal' post.

Despite this listing showing as "EXPIRED" I ordered one of these on Thursday at $29.95 with free shipping and received it today.

Based on comparison to the various fake identification guides on the Mi site and elsewhere on the web these are legit Xiaomi units.
Also the verification code on the security seal checks out and in my case only had 1 query (me).

The unit was supplied in the white box packaging and not the nice plastic box the older units came in (and most reviews show) which was a slight disappointment as I had not realised there were two versions prior to receiving mine but it turns out there are so on my head be it.

As for A3Australia I don't know what your problem is or why 99% of your posts on OzBargain are complaining about some assumed breach of electrical safety standards… if your knowledge of the subject wasn't so poor I would potentially think you might be an employee of the Department of Fair Trading or other equivalent state regulator.
I hope it isn't the case (for the sake of our tax dollars) but your badgering the seller for information about his retail shopfront (of which he has none) makes it seem likely that you are employed as such.
Whatever the case may be these units ARE NOT a prescribed article and DO NOT REQUIRE electrical safety approval.

They would require EMC certification, however, for this class of product it is a self regulatory process and the relevant standards are for the most part harmonized across the major countries so a product made in China by any half reputable company is most likely already compliant anyway.
In fact under certain conditions (e.g. certain low volume imports) compliance isn't even required.

As far as the shipping of lithium batteries goes AusPost states that you can ship any device containing up to and including 4 cells (which this particular unit has exactly) by road without needing to declare it.
My order was shipped via eParcel road service and therefore as far as I'm concerned it is compliant.

Also its not like we aren't all fully aware that we are buying grey imports here, for the most part those of us buying from this company are doing so because it gives us a quicker and more reliable method of obtaining something that if we were to import from overseas ourselves would likely breach the regulations for shipping products containing lithium batteries, would on average take over two weeks to receive (even by airmail) and would also have a high probability of being fake.

    TLDR?
    1. These are genuine.
    2. A3Australia… find a new outlet for your misery… I suggest 4Chan may welcome a spider expert such as yourself.

    • this is a very true statement

  • Same experience as ToobsAU. Ordered, received 2 or 3 days later. Genuine. What more do you want.

    • Thanks guys, it is great to see people realize it's good deal :)

  • I just bought one of these but the instructions included are Chinese. I have contacted Seller.

    Does anyone have English instructions?

    • Hello there,
Basically, the micro USB port is for charging the battery itself. 4 LED indicate power level from 25% 50% 75% 100%
The standard USB port output is to charge any devices(phone, tablet etc)
Output is 5V/2.1A depends on the device the battery automatically switch to the optimised output current.
Each time plug in a device just press once power button.
      There you go…
