I'm not up to date on these things to know if this is a "bargain" or not but it sounds alright. Maybe a good thing to get dad for Fathers Day? It would appear it doesn't handle video but I can't confirm that.

  considering you can easily buy a 7" screen for around $50, the 1 extra inch on the 8" model does not justify the $99 price.

  For around $99, you can buy some china brand 7" DVD player anyway. That will be much more useful than the desk-bound photo frame.

    The DVD players only more useful if you want a DVD player…it's hardly suitable for hanging on a wall.
