Thanks for posting. I don't use Bit defender but I am an advocate for free stuff.

  • Cool, cheers! I need this to replace my Norton Mobile.

  • Only recommend BD for desktop.

    • What's wrong with android? More info please

      • For a paid product, BD is very light on features compared with Avast Free for example. No firewall, network meter etc.

  • Didn't have any antivirus on my nexus so cheers!

    • Everything needs an anti-virus these days. But just my personal opinion. Who knows what's out there these days!

ive NEVER had one on any of my android devices
and my pc windows 7 doesnt have it either. yet amasinly i havent gotten a virus on it either i watch movies play games i even pirate movies and pc games and music well not so much music but gamesand tv shows and movies.

if you click of those fake download buttoms or don't review reviews and use a little bit of common sence then you deserve to get as many viruses as your pc cant take before it wont boot.

it's not even about being a smart user just not a complete idiot of one.

        • Sounds a little bit like claiming you don't have any STD's without ever having a test done….

        • @ryang:i r4eally don't care what you think ive never had a virus in my lifetime so far whole many other people do.
and ever if i ever do manage to get one i have everything of mine backed up on a hard drive so a quick reinstall of windows and im good to go.

some people just are terrible with computers and judging by your comment id say you are one of them.

        • @holden93: HAHAHAH! Sure, except for the fact that I work with them every day… I just know that thinking you don't have a virus, and actually not having one are very different things.

Just remember that not all infections are going to make themselves known and they aren't always just after your files.

      • I used MalwareBytes and it was able to detect the Uupay.D trojan preloaded on my custom ROM. I didn't pirate any apps, but I did download the ROM from a chinese developer's website and it had some unneeded bloatware preinstalled on it.

You may not need resident protection on an Android device but having on-demand scanner wouldn't hurt.

    • Debatable. Depends entirely on what apps you install and where you get them from. Even then, there has been reports of dodgy/copycat apps doing bad things.
