    • 3752 in total and 1726 requests just from OzBargain. For us is a massive response.

I wanted to give something back…. it is 50% discount on the product.

That's why I posted the offer!

    wtf is soodox?

edit: pain relief cream - how exciting!

    • +3

A fancy name for goanna ointment, pawpaw ointment or snake oil.

It only "may" provide relief to pain just like a glass of water may provide relief to pain.

This appears to be invented by someone with a pharmacy degree which is a bit more relevant than an engineering degree but not all that much in the specialist and well studied field of pain relief.

They've also been in trouble with the TGA before.

      http://www.tgacrp.com.au/uploaded/complaints/panelDeterminat…

Can we vote them down because that a pharmacist is unable to follow pretty simple rules is quite scary?

      • +1

What's wrong with pawpaw ointment? (genuine question)

I use it all the time and find it helps for things like chapped lips, dry hands, etc.

edit: I just googled it - I had no idea that Lucas' pawpaw ointment was mostly petrochemicals. Wow. lol

        • +2

Nothing if it's sold as pawpaw ointment and is fit and proper for the purpose it's intended and advertised to be used for such as chapped lips, dry hands, etc.

This however is called a pain relief cream yet it isn't actually a pain relief cream. Nice work getting around those TGA rules.

        • Yeah pawpaw ointment is basically just petroleum jelly with a tad of pawpaw added.

I couldn't see the full list of ingredients, where or what is it?

  • OP - Rather than have testimonials on your website - have links to real evidence if its out there —> more believable.

          Thanks Fix.

When you talk about people's pain you have to be very careful of what you claim.
We had do go through a very rigid test with the Australian TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration www.tga.gov.au) , and we are proud to say that Soodox is Australian MADE!

Please we want to hear from you and with a truly review.

          Regards,
          Soodox

        • @Soodox:

Please we want to hear from you and with a truly (sic) review.

          A truly what review?

        • @A3Australia:

According to the TGA rules we cannot say that it works 100%, that's why we need reviews, what ever it comes(good or bed)

  • You can find the product in all the respected pharmacies.

      Thanks A3Australia

      That's exactly the right statement!

If more people say that it works, more people will benefit from a pain relief…. That's our goal and and belief.

      Regards,
      Soodox

Yet you're not dealing in belief your pretending to deal in science and medicine. It's one or the other not whichever is best at the time.

        • If you are a pharmacist and you have studied for 21 years and one day you put in practice all your knowledge first trying on yourself, realizing that works….what would you do next?

        • +2

@Soodox: Contact someone with the academic qualifications to verify that's the case then if it's been proven to work issue a press release announcing a new pain relief cream. It will be big news as pain relief is big business. Oh and I'd also use contractions.

If you've studied for twenty one years and haven't heard of placebos or the scientific method you should be asking for a refund. By the way what is the specialist field of pain relief called? If you have to google it…

Don't get me wrong as I fully support the use of placebos but it has to be done ethically and morally, which in my mind translates to not for profit, and that's not the case here.

        • @Rutger:

Please do not take it personal. We live a in free world, and this is a website where people offer products for free or discounted.

The choice is yours. I am not forcing anyone to buy, I am just offering a discount on a product that has gone though the official way and now is for sale. We do have refund policy too.

If you don't want to buy I am ok with it!

        • +2

@Soodox: And it's the choice of members here to warn fellow members of products which are unlikely to deliver on all its promises.

If you are a pharmacist and you have studied for 21 years and one day you put in practice all your knowledge first trying on yourself, realizing that works….what would you do next?

A scientifically minded person would through the proper channels to have it tested in a clinical trial on more people than just yourself, before "realising it works" and trying to sell it to the public as a cure for all ailments…

I like how the page title in the main link says "Landing: Upsell Soodox"

    lol

    • -1

      Where did you find it?

That is an offer call it as you wish, the fact is that we are giving one for FREE if you buy one using the coupon!

      • +1

I'm not calling it anything. I'm simply alerting you to something you might want to change on your website.

        Screenshot for you

        • -2

Thank you for your advise, but I cannot see it!

          Where did you find it?

        • +2

@Soodox: Dude. I just gave you a link to a screenshot I took of your website. Click the link I posted previously.

          http://i61.tinypic.com/ei0b9u.jpg

Or copy and paste that into a browser.

          o_O

        • @waterlogged turnip:

What do you think I should call that page?

  • +2

I have to ask my IT guy why he has used that word, it is not an "upsell" it is a landing page with the offer… Simply if you don't want to use the coupon you just close the page!

  • +2

I have no doubt that some essential oils can help with some conditions.
    But …
This product is unlike any muscular pain reliever I know of - and I have 0% confidence it will work.
The website refers to arthritis, period pain, etc. I am sceptical that this will make any improvement..

If it said it improves general wellbeing, I'd be more inclined to trust it… Anything more is a stretch.

If you buy this I've got some magic beans for sale that you may be interested in…

    • +1 highly amusing!

    • Hi Blitz,

Thank you so much for bring this up!

That's shows that we are constantly checked by the TGA.

The complain was lodged and we are waiting the response. Up to now the Dr Ken Harvey and the anonymous complained about the advertisement not about the product itself.

As you probably know before any company decides to come up with a new product, there is a long journey full of obstacles and people that want to discredit and complain.

We are here on OzBargain to offer our product and people have always a choice.

We do not claim miracles, we just want to hear from people that the product has worked.

We accept criticisms but not insults!

      Kind regards,
      Soodox
