  • Cant find stock anywhere close by :( good price

  • I'm struggling to understand why would someone drop $300 on a capsule machine, when you can get a Nespresso compatible machine for under $100 or even the Lavazza modo mio for $54 on eBay.
Isn't the coffee always going to be limited by the fact that its capsule coffee, or is this $300 machine somehow miles ahead of the cheaper offerings?

I've used a few of the cheaper ones around or under the $100 mark. This is much much better. It's mostly plastic but is quite sturdy. The frother attachment is nice because you can put whatever milk is left in the fridge and doesn't need to be cleaned every time you use it. The quality is nicer too. Still not as good as your average espresso machine(with quality coffee) but if you want a decent cappuccino in about 90 seconds with no mess or cleanup, this is for you and at a pretty good price.

The Lattissima Plus has an inbuilt milk dispenser / frother. Just push a button and your coffee is extracted from the capsule, then the milk is heated, frothed and dispensed into your cup automatically.

The $180 Nespresso machines only pour a cup of coffee, no milk is done automatically.

I have seen one of these machines in action, and they are pretty darn awesome!

Keep struggling, clean the milk frothier of heated milk after every use….no thanks, as many have mentioned, automatically dispensed frothed milk and coffee, by the touch of a button, while storing in the milk container in the fridge after use… well worth the money.

The missus has one of these and paid $400 after a $50 cashback about two years ago. Has been a pretty decent machine - nice and easy to operate if you prefer a "one touch" function, and at this price it's a ripper deal! Of course, you can generally get a better coffee from a traditional (grounds) coffee machine, but Nespresso is on the money with their taste:convenience ratio :)

Just pick one up in my local HN. Was missed the last one from The good guys, just in time before the cash back end.

  • Don't bother. Mate had one of these. When making a latte, the cup would be half full of froth! You can turn the froth settings down and that was on the lowest setting.
Also if you like your coffee hot, don't waste your time with this machine. At the most, the coffee was warm and no way to turn up the temperature.
I have the DeLonghi Citiz and Milk. Had it for a couple years and hasn't missed a beat. Hot coffee and perfect amount of froth for both cappuccino and latte.

Tip for a hotter coffee. Leave the machine on for a bit longer before using it. I just found this out recently by accident.

      • Didn't seem to matter how long it was on for unfortunately. No difference.

I was speaking to a Myer demonstrator about these units and the problems with getting the milk hot enough in general using stand-alone milk frothers/heaters, to just sip. They are aware of the issue and designed these units to heat the water hotter than normal so that when the milk was heated to a point that was just short of scalding/burning, that when added together the temperature was perfect. The proviso was that the cup was not a mug, which meant that the ratio of milk to water was compromised. Also the machine was on for some time before we arrived in store. Seemed to work well for me as I like standard cups, not mugs.
Drinking coffee is a special treat, not just a means to get a caffeine buzz.

Bought one for my parents and now my sister bought one too after trying it. It's really the milk frothed which is what makes this awesome.

ps. Good deal if you can get stock as it's not for one day only but today I used the eBay coupon (15% off) + Good Guys to get a price not too different (e.g. white was $429, red was $449 - before 15% discount/cashback). For bonus dollars back, can use cash rewards.
