Is your loungeroom set up exactly so you are the ideal distance for 4k content? Or are you, like pretty much everyone, better off with 1080p for now? :)
got a Samsung 3D 55" recently for a guest room, saw these in store and the resolution is so good as the Retina on Macbook Pro lol
Where do you see a 20% discount??
Do you mean "up to" 20%?
Is it true Sony are about to stop making TVs?
No, but its definitely not a performing category.
TV is a very passive kind of performance, except for the actors
lol, especially AV ;)
I wouldn't rule it out. It hasn't made a cent of profit in a decade and has lost countless hundreds of millions. It's only a matter of time before they are forced to dump it or cut it right back to only 3-4 models a year. Their current 20+ with indiscernible differences is ridiculous and not sustainable.

So… Which retailer has the best price beat policy?
I just happened to be at Harvey Norman today. The sales guy said he'll match but not beat that price. I asked him what's up with all the Sony TV sales. He said: "Samsung is kicking TV butt at the moment."
Me thinks it's about the poor Smart TV features on the Sony TVs.

Jbhifi price error? KDL55W800B is $1296 (50inch version is $1298)
Dicky its $1439 after $360 off
Can't find how to post that as a deal, can someone post the Jb hifi 55inch as a deal/price error?
especially the 4K series, range from 55" to 70" and price from $2,699 to $4,499, big price drop for 4K TVs these days
