  • I think I remember this being posted before…

It was but expired. Cash grab by Kogan, probably counting on people not using the card or ticket so free money for them.

Hey, at least they give you -something- rather than the usual ripoff gift cards with no bonus + a nice expiry date to forget about

  • Great deal

  • +4

Their deal isn't all it's cracked up to be, I had a "free movie voucher" one time with them but it actually cost more to use it than buying tickets for our nearest Hoyts.

  • -3

I paid $7 for Hoyts tix from Living Social. When I went to book online, Hoyts charged us extra $3 each for "Xtreme".
    Wasn't worth it.

TLC marketing gives Event/Greater Union tickets

These cinema's charge $1 booking fee online or free redemption at cinema

I know this because i used 2 last week

      • Ok thanks.

Xtremescreen ticket had always incur an extra $3 upgrade charge with a normal movie voucher. It used to be free for 3D voucher like one from cokereward or voucher bought from student association for $12 at tafe/uni. Now even these 3D voucher incur a $3 upgrade surcharge.

Xtremescreen ticket would normally cost $23 for adult, $18 for children, $20 for student and concession card holder and $16 for senior. You got it for $10, not sure how that is not worth it.

Not sure what to think of my friend if they gave me a Kogan voucher.

    • Probably better off buying your mates itunes e-vouchers rather than anything kogan…

  • Good for buying my skincare products

Would be nice if you can you this credit on their ebay store.

  • Wait, what's this buying for a friend tactic? I've already bought for myself, so do I buy again on same Amex card but put it as a 'gift' to another name and they'd still get the movie tix deal?

When claiming the movie ticket I had to use a different E-Mail address for each. Then get a barcode on a webpage for the cinema to scan from phone.

So are people buying these over and over but using different names? If so, might as well buy $250 worth for the Amex $50 off deal. Downside is you gotta buy 17 of them for $255 and then use all those credits up $15 at a time before it expires in a year. So 17 pairs of thongs for family and friends? ;-p

Everyone gets a pair of thongs and I get to 17 movie tickets that must be used within 6 months. Doable for sure right?

But I'm guessing some red flags will go up one you get 30 minutes in, filling in the same order for the 10th time, but with different names!

Does anyone know how the store credit works on these ones?

Do they email you a voucher code for the store credit, or post it with the movie tickets?

Really? You know this is kogan right? The guy would sell his grandma for a buck, I doubt he'd be printing vouchers and licking stamps for you.

Hint: you don't even get printed manuals, you have to download it.

      Hope that answers your question.
