    Yes and no.

    99% of (if not all) tripods use a universal connector (never seen one that hasn't) so it will attach fine. Max load of 1.5kg. I personally wouldn't go for anything under a 3kg load. It probably comes down to personal preference, but just think about future-proofing yourself a bit. This would be great if you're just using kit lenses and everything is fairly stable/flat ground/not windy. However if you plan on going outside and into windy areas, I'd recommend getting a stronger tripod, and preferably one with a weight hook on the bottom of it.

    I'm personally using the Vanguard 264AP (weighs 2kg, max load of 5kg)
