Agreed - local warranty more than makes the $50 difference. "No brainer"
Add to that the stuff around waiting for the cash back. For me a no brainer.

Because it's Aussie stock places like JB HIFI will do a price match and slightly cheaper.
I know this from experience, I did the exact same thing except with a 60D body.
