Well it's been the same for months and they have not changed it. It's just the whacky way that Deals Direct classes regional cities as remote which is utter nonsense it's not like out in the middle of the rural bush. Luckily i'm in North Rockhampton so i'm fine. :)

Put up the prices, then reduce shipping costs to get faux deal.
They have done this a lot in the past. It's only worth buying the real "clearance items" from them, or to stack specials (like when they had 50% off and free shipping a year and a half ago). But be careful what you buy - they have some real crap. I wouldn't buy anything non-branded from them.

I don't agree with some of the comments above. The reality is one promotion ended yesterday and they started a new promotion today. It's very transparent, not like some other sites secretly bumping up price to negate cheap shipping.

Yeah funny that, it happens a lot with these supposed deals. I neg it because their new promotion was worse than their previous promotion. I also bought stuff from them in the past which appeared cheap, and found the quality of what they sell can be abysmal. I suppose you get what you pay for at the end of the day. :)

The prices of some products are up but not all. I got a luggage set for $82 shipped. The price hasn't changed.
I agreed that Deals Direct does bump up MOST of the product prices during free shipping promotion, but there are still some good deals which are on specials or clearance.
I have bought from them several times and I am quite happy with my purchases (good to read the reviews first). Their after sales service is also quite professional. At least they send replacements and reply to emails.
