They seem to be on clearance at the Gepps Cross store in SA. There were about seven left after I bought one. The bundle includes the Skylanders Swap Force Starter Pack and Nintendo Land.

Wishful thinking. You could grab the $199 while it's here as the basic console is discontinued.
If they don't drop rrp to $199 at Christmas the console is dead. No amount of awesome games will save it. Sadly.
Considering this is the Skylanders Swapforce bundle - if they don't drop the price and clear stock before Trap Team comes out … Well, have fun then!!

Shops everywhere have been clearing out Wii U consoles. I will be surprised if there were any left by Xmas. $199 for Basic Wii U plus game is quite a good price considering i got a basic pack for $175.
I think they are clearing because there is going to be new bundles coming out. Somebody probably found a pellet somewhere and was like oh sh1t better get rid of these.
They are no longer doing the "Console" only packs, they have moved towards the "Bundle with a game" type selling model.
So Premium Packs are now with Mario Kart and Basic Packs are with Skylander.
They are clearing all the Basic Packs because a new Skylander is coming out in Sept or Oct.
I thought TGG has ended it games division long time ago?

Somebody must have found a pallet of them… and decided to sell them all off.
Bought 3 today (My two housemates and I). Saw them at Target for $189. Girl at the counter told me they've been selling them for ages apparently.

All sold out, we bought the last 3. It was Target Mackay.
This was kmart price before the started their catalog for $179.
