      Terms of AWS credit are 'Valid for 2 years. For new and existing customers, unless already part of AWS Activate.'

    Certainly seems like a good deal - can anyone who has bought it confirm that you get $500 AWS credit you can use on whatever you want (e.g. Glacier)

    My aws activate application from amazon was just rejected. So you can't rely on the $500 credit just happening. Certainly expect it would work for a new customer though. I certainly don't remember being an Activate member. They say I either have received too much credit or aren't a company.

    I went into this deal a bit too much on impulse, seems like most of the services are effectively just extended free trials.
