i currently use some g9 halogens in some outdoor spotlights and they constantly burn out after a couple of months.
i assume i can replace with these and hopefully they'll last a lot longer…
I got burned too many times with dodgy LED bulbs, some of which proved dangerous. I only buy from eBay listings where both the seller AND the product have a lot of positive feedback.
Many LED bulbs have an open construction and are very unsuitable for outside. Be careful.
@jv: the LED bulbs I have bought were MR16 and GU10. Not sure about G9. I am reluctant to put the seller's name as I would be thread-hijacking, and I cannot seem to PM you. My normal approach:
* Look for quality LED chips (CREE, Epistar)
* Look for long lifespan and high lumens
* Do not buy from sellers with less than 99% positive feedback
* Go through the seller's feedback in detail and check whether people left positive feedback on that specific product
* Stay away from seller "ebanlan"
Do not count on LED lights to stay functional when fully exposed outside.

Negging as this is a major issue with the retailer. Countless undelivered orders and then refusing to provide refunds to affected customers yet continually posting more crud on here. Borderline scam site.

If anyone looks at my rant history for MyLed, its the same shit over and over. People complain, yet a few get it and say they are happy.
I keep trying to say it but this is how the money is made.
If i didnt go to jail in this country for it, i'd sell to the people in the same Myled fashion and advertise through Ozbargain continually without being banned and buy my kids a boat each for every time they sneeze.

I placed three separate orders for the Cree Q5 led flashlight deal posted in January. I received all three, and others posted to say they also received theirs.
I understand some people may not have received orders or satisfactory customer service, but some of us have had a genuinely positive experience with MyLed.
What is unknown is which group are the majority.
A received/not received feature is a good suggestion. It would need to be restricted to established members to stop unscrupulous companies abusing the system, and it would probably be biased as those who are unhappy are more likely to give feedback - but the representative sample would still be useful.

When received your parcel yesterday it has only 3 ball bulbs and 1 candle bulb inside. So it looks like 2 bulbs are missing. Please check.
