Spend $200 or more on transactions online on a saved card and receive $50 statement credit. Limited to first 10,000 cards. Excludes gift cards.

Offer Terms
Offer only applies to spend on this Card. It does not apply to spend on any supplementary Cards on this account or any other American Express Cards you might hold.
Card Members must spend $200 or more, in one or more transactions, on their saved Card online at myer.com.au, between 06/08/14 and 05/09/14 to receive a $50 statement credit.
Offer excludes Gift Cards.
Participation is limited to the first 10,000 Cards to have the Offer saved. Limited to one statement credit per registered Card.
Statement credit is normally issued within 3-5 days of the eligible spend, but may take up to 10 weeks to appear in your account.
Statement credit may not be applied to your Card Account if it has been suspended or cancelled and may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned or cancelled.

      For the DJs offer, physical gift cards got credit but I don't think e gift cards got credit.
      For this offer I highly doubt you'll get credit for gift cards

          At DJs Online you can buy two types of gift cards:

          • eGift cards (a voucher code is emailed to you and you can only use it online; delivery was free
          • physical gift cards (a plastic card is posted to you and can be used in store; delivery was $5 I think)

          @alwayscheaper: No-one on the DJ's thread commented that they made the physical gift card purchase (let alone whether the AMEX credit came through successfully or not). However, in the Woolworths group and Coles group similar AMEX offers (Dan Murphy's, Woolworths, Target, Vintage Cellars etc) there were many people, myself included, that bought physical gift cards and received the AMEX credit.

          I got djs credit, with physical gift card. The ecard went to a different web site but physical could be carted with every other dj estore buy. Maybe the ecard worked too, but I wasn't game to try it.

        I have one of those cards. But the one through Charted Accountants. Im not even an accountant lol.

        But it's great. No fee for life.

        I also have a AMEX Qantas cad and also no fee for life.

    This offer only for AMEX cards directly issued by AMEX. Only targeted to certains AMEX cards.I have 2 AMEX cards, only one card received this offer.

          @ProjectZero: Yep. Go through the comments of similar AMEX posts. Lots of people report buying gift cards (physical cards, not eGift vouchers) and the AMEX credit comes through everytime.

          Even grasstown (a few comments above this) confirms it worked with the phsical gift card bought from DJ's online in the last AMEX promotion.

    I am debating between an amex issued card and a bank issued one like ANZ amex. Which ones get more retail statement credit offers or is it targeted and depends on customer?

      AMEX issued cards always get more deals.
      But ANZ plaitnum or black get more value for each point compare with free AMEX cards.
      So, best to get the ANZ + a free one from AMEX for the deals. or get a higher end AMEX card for both.

          Won't work at myer, gift cards are a different myer web site. Add a gift card to your cart and a piece of clothing and you get two different carts.

    Has anyone managed to make split payment on Myer Online? For example, buying an item that costs $300 - pay $200 using Amex and get $50 back; and pay the remaining balance using Coles & Myer giftcards bought using the previous Amex offer (Target & Vintage Cellars).
