Great deal for someone looking at this specific phone.

Just an alternative, the LG G Pro 2 is a very similar phone with same screen size (possibly faster) and will be $352.80 during the eBay sale tomorrow: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LG-G-Pro-2-D838-16GB-Black-/16137…

    Here's a comparison between them: http://www.phonearena.com/news/LG-G-Pro-2-vs-Note-3-vs-HTC-O….

And since we're on the topic of big phones, the 6.4' Sony Xperia Z Ultra will be around $310 tomorrow: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-Xperia-Z-Ultra-4G-LTE-C6833-…

      Thank you so much.

    • Didn't realise Kogan listed their phones under toys. Great find.

Last deal it was listed under mobile phones http://cgi.ebay.com.au/351104813864

    • @BP, I thought the eBay sale tomorrow is for toys only……

      • +2

        Listed in category:
        Toys, Hobbies>Other

And according to the ebay terms and conditions

The offer entitles you to a 20% discount off the total purchase price of toys on up to five transactions (including postage) for purchases made on ebay.com.au during the Offer Period (“offer”). Toys means children’s toys, for example items listed in the following categories on eBay.com.au: Toys & Hobbies, Video Games & Consoles, Toys 0-12 months (in Baby), Children’s Books (in Books, Magazines), Toys (in Collectables) and Dolls, Bears.

So obviously Kogan decided to be cheeky and list phones under the toys section. Which is fair enough, who says mobile phones can't be game consoles?

So obviously Kogan decided to be cheeky and list phones under the toys section.

Haha, cheeky indeed. I like his style! :)

        • Haha wished the white one was also in the toys category…. damn them.

    • Might finally bite the bullet and upgrade my S3 with the Xperia Z Ultra. What do people suggest at this price?

      • I've read a few reviews that the Z screen cracks due to the battery expanding when hot but I'm not sure if its a common problem?

        • I really don't know what the fuss about this "screen crack". I have a feeling that a lot of the time people just don't realize it when they break it and when they see it they started to speculate.

I have one for almost 3 months, I have absolutely no issue with the screen.

At $300,its a steal for this phone… Monstrous size screen will be what this deal is all about… But at the same time, it's only just the size and nothing else is worth calling home about

        • I own the device.

I've never read anything about screen cracking from overheating battery, that's a new one. However there have been a fair number of reports indicating the screen can crack if it has a twisting force applied to it. This happens when it's in users pockets and they bend over or sit down and so on.

It's hard to gauge how much of a problem this is given lack of any solid data and so on but to me it seems to be at least an issue you should be aware of as I've never had a phone screen crack in this manner. I make a point to remove it from pockets before I sit down etc. unless I'm wearing very loose clothing. It's fine in tracksuit pants.

You might be interested to know that while I'm exceptionally happy with the device hardware and stock firmware - this is the first device that I prefer the stock to anything else and it's faster than any other ROM at the present time according to my own benchmarking - I do feel that I now know what "too big" is in terms of a phone and the XZU is a little too big for me.

It's not enough to make me immediately ditch it but I will be going for some a little smaller when I next buy a phone, perhaps a 6" or a little bigger if they can remove some bezel.

    • This needs to be listed as a deal in itself!

      • Feel free to take it

    • Does the lg g pro 2 work with optus network? Any problems with getting phone as grey import version? Thanks

    • Brings price down to $380.28 + shipping (including 3 x USB cables)

  • Does anyone know if they have gst invoice for trs?

    • Yes, you will receive a proper tax invoice with ABN, GST, etc. It will appear in your account after you place an order.

      • -1

Most likely will not have a abn or gst.
It depends on if you buy from kogan australia or kogan hk.

I have ordered a phone from their website, they do not have a abn or gst on the receipt therefore cannot be used for TRS.

This deal is for catch of the day though not Kogan.

  • sold out?

  • Too late……
