These are the newer versions of the Nerf N-Strike Maverick, the Elite series are redesigned and more powerful.

There is also tons of cheap mods you can do to get them to shoot faster/further.

I think these ones are supposed to fire up to 75 feet (20ish meters) but you can mod it to go even further.

They are lots of fun, not just for kids.

        That's only in America…

    • in fairness it doesnt say unsuitable for kids aged 12+

  • Fire up to 75 feet? They lie. More like 30 to 40 feet. The only way it can fire up to 75 feet is if you are pointing it 45 degree upward and there is back wind to push the darts.

    • or fire it down a cliff…

Yes they are on a angle but not shooting with the wind.

      100 feet+ is achievable with free/cheap mods.

There was also 2 versions of this sold in Australia, one thats rated at 20 meters and one that is rated at 15 meters. This is the 20 meter one (about 75 feet) according to the packaging on the website.

      • Those claimed 75 feet range are US version, and they have to be fired at an angle. Oz version claims to shoot up to 60 feet, at an angle.

I know the truth because I own two Oz version of Strongarms. I only tested them firing at flat angle, I only get 30 to 40 feet range from both.

        • The Aus version is advertised as 20m, if it does that or not I don't know. It is the Aus version as it has the gray trigger (not orange like US).

I have the Orange Mod Works one on its way to me: http://www.orangemodworks.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=Stron…

The complete gun was cheaper modded than to buy a gun and mod it separately, I also grabbed some springs and o-rings for my brothers and nephews Maverick.

And I also got the Massicre kit for the N-Strike Raider

And the metal stage 1 and 2 Recon kits for my N-Strike Recon.

Anyone wanting more power from one of these Strongarms could stretch the spring or replace the spring and watch some mod videos or look in forums.

Its not a problem to get more power out of it for free or cheap, they are still great value for a pair at just a few bucks more than the RRP of one.

What? Weren't these normally $12 each from target? Or did they increased the price O_O

    • $15 on the Target website (which are not avalible), they appear to be selling out a lot of the Nerf range I suspect for the new series coming out this year. Also you can see on the target website its the 15m version and the Kmart website shows the 20m version.
