MSI WIND U100+ for $445 with Logitech Purchase - Fluidtek

50

Fluidtek has the Wind at $445 if you buy a Logitech product. $465 if you don't.

Before a certain person responds, Fluidtek doesn't sell grey products. Everything has an Australian warranty. I am not a relative of Eddie's and have no financial interest in Fluidtek.

I bought two Winds yesterday. I've bought about 15 this year from Fluidtek. One of them had problems, and MSI repaired it without fuss within a week.

Mod - edited title and description.

I did type a comment earlier but got:
    "Access denied

You are not authorized to access this page."

Basically the price has gone up $16 since yesterday (see http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/15262 $449) if a purchaser isn't buying a Logitech product, otherwise its $4 cheaper then yesterday.

"Fluidtek doesn’t sell grey products." I can't bother to retype it again, but Fluidtek HAS imported things before outside the licensed importer, so yes there should an Australian warranty on items Fluidtek imports as Fluidtek is an Australian based retailer (so when Fluidtek is the importer Fluidtek is also the Australian warranty provider for the items that they have sold). I wouldn't say that Fluidtek didn't sell Grey imported products as Fluidtek has (maybe Fluidtek don't any more, but Fluidtek certaintly used to).

This deal was temporarily unpublished in light of that previous $449 deal, but I decided to republish it.

However, I and the other mods have zero interest in further unproductive commentary and flaming about this and other stores. If it continues, bans will be handed out so that certain users (and mods) can take the weekend off.

are there any features to filter out certain sites posted in here? frankly i am tired of looking at offers from the same site - i might as well just go to their website and see all the items myself.

agree - they are just using this site for free advertising, and a free marketing campaign (ie a deal a day so they get more posts on ozbargain, rather than a sale with multiple deals) and not posting bargains. If everyone did this, ozbargin will go downhill very very fast. I know at times its a fine line, but IMO clearly over the line.

          • @SydGuy: I agree.

The nearest site I know that shows some of the "daily deals" is dealdump.com.au.

No need for every alleged bargain to be posted from the same sites everyday (especially when the price went UP $16 today).

        • There is no filtering feature, however you can read and contribute to the feature request discussion.

There are some technical issues that present a challenge, but all feedback is useful and may assist the development of features and policies.

        • Agree.

        • It's interesting, i remember when cotd got the ban because people kept posting deals. Perhaps it's time fluidtek gets a dose/

          • @Davo1111: Domains may be temporarily banned due to a number of negative votes on their deals, not due to too many posts (at this stage). Although I don't like to see a constant stream of daily deals, free software of the day, or everything on Fluidtek and MSY, remember what constitutes an appropriate negative vote.

Please take all further discussion to the forum.

    Everything has an Australian warranty.

Indeed, and statutory consumer rights have nothing to do with Fluidtek or MSI per se. While you and others have confirmed MSI provides good support, by law, consumer rights relate to the contract between buyer and seller:-

Each sale is a contract between the seller and the consumer. So if the seller breaches the contract by providing goods that do not meet a statutory warranty or condition, it is their responsibility to provide a remedy. If a seller has to return goods to a manufacturer for assessment or repair, the seller should arrange delivery.

A consumer who pursues a remedy from Eddie (or any other seller) has the law on their side. Whether they are successful is entirely another matter.

    • "Whether they are successful is entirely another matter."
That's where I see the main problem (besides the buying phase). If its grey imported or not, trying to make a claim with Fluidtek would most likely be a drawn out frustrating exercise which may not even be successful.
