In their previous catalogue, Big W are selling the Brother HL2040 for $98 - one of the cheapest places to buy this mono laser printer. They also sell the refill for $77.94.

This printer ranked #2 in Choice's latest test of laser printers, with a RRP of $129.

Anyone know if this printer is still available at this price?

  It used to be $89 from Dick Smith Electronics 7 months ago, and then there was this $20 cashback from Brother 4 months ago. It is a nice budget laser printer, but "it's cheaper elsewhere" (try this staticICE search).

  I got this printer awhile back at the special price of $98 and was also eligible for the $20 cashback. It's a nice, fast, budget printer and you can't beat going in to the local Big W and picking one up on the spot - NO delivery charges. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a cheap BW laser.
