Code appears to only work for UE6000.

Bought one UE6000 and one UE4000 got the $5 off and free postage for everything.

From reviews, the UE6000 is worth a try at this price. The UE4000 would make a decent gift.

    Thanks OP

Damn EOFYS…my credit card bill is going to look scary next month!

  • How good are UE 6000 as active noise cancelling headphones?

    • +1

Not particularly effective in that department.

      • Cheers. I heard that they are much like the older Bose QC2s, and only block out lower frequencies…

        • +1

Incredibly terrible, un-effective and you have to have it on to power the headphones (you can use them unpowered however).
It also produces a loud hissing noise. I owned a pair from the previous TGG sale and sold them straight away.

        • @jakiejake,

is this the UE6000 or the Bose QC2's?

        • +1

Ditto, I returned the UE6000 to TGG as "not fit for purpose" because noise cancellation produced a high pitch warble and hiss.

        • Sorry for the late reply, it's the UE6000's

    • +2

If the best noise cancellation is what you seek (and you're happy to pay for it) then you're probably better off with a pair of bose.

The noise cancellation on these works to some extent, but mainly it works as a bass boost.

For the money, they are a great buy, but don't expect wonders from the noise cancellation (noise isolation is ok).

    • -1

Active noise cancelling is always rubbish. Always.

    • +1

Just bought my 3rd pair of each, even though the first pair are going strong. I never want to be without these.

For me the noise canceling is perfect. I cant hear myself speak while I have them on, keyboard click is gone.

Ive gotten them mainly for the plane where even a 50% decrease in noise will be perfect.

As for the 4000's they're my new portable pair. I cant fault them either. a little tight on the head, but I'm stretching them out. the demo ones at the store felt pleasantly loose, so i'm sure its possible.

  • UNFKNBLVBL mine arrived yesterday, and now they have black and its $5 cheaper

LOGITECH on-Ear Headphones White UE4000 $39.20 Free Delivery @ Dick Smith
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/147724

    • If you have price protection this should apply. :)

Oh and the black is wayyyy sexier than white. IMO only that is ;)

      • I initially thought the same, as i usually prefer a more subtle/nondescript look…but in person white looks WAY better in my opinion. The white contrasts with the blue highlights a lot more, matching the blue cable better. I have white ue6000 and black ue9000, and i much prefer wearing the white ue6000s.

each to their own tho! :)

    • Same here!

    • Same here : (

  • Good price. This may be one of the last times we see the UE6000 as it is a run out item.

  • I've got a pair of UE4000s from OW and they're mighty good for the money. :) Just ordered a pair of UE6000s for $83 after the code POWER hehe.

UE4000s will be donated to my brother once the 6000s arrive. ;)

  • +2

    STOP TEMPTING ME!

I'm still waiting for my Sennheiser RS 160s from the COTD deal.

    • same here lol

  • nice pair!

Our eponymous hero saves the day. Nice workaround!

      • +5

:( Took some time to find a cheapo item, since I didn't realise POWER didn't apply to $2 SIMs (T&Cs).

        Edit:

Polaroid photo paper is also $2 if those cables miraculously go out of stock.

    • Cheers mate top workaround :)

    • damn..

  • Thanks OP :)

  • question: black or white???

    • +2

white keeps the white noise away
      black keeps the beats nicer

      • and the purple ones?

keeps the people eaters at bay?

    • As above, i think the white makes the blue highlight stand out more, therefore matching the blue cable better. I initially thought black would look better, but having both, i much prefer white in person.

just my opinion tho…other people above seem to disagree!

      • +2

Thanks for all the advice. However, just before i was going to checkout, i stopped myself from buying yet another pair of headphones. Nice try tho, OzBargain.

        • you can run but you can't hide

    • +1

      Porque no los dos?

      If you're asking about UE4000s…

I'm using the black pair right now. It's kinda easy to see finger prints on it as there's a (glossy) plastic finish. :P I just bought black because I thought it'd be a bit less head-turney than white. Also theoretically should be easier to keep clean.

Functionality over form, can't go wrong with either. ;)

      • ah yeah, good point, forgot to mention the black ones are extreme fingerprint magnets!!! another plus for the white!

but you're right, white does stand out more…which is the reason i originally wanted black. but then again, with the glossy black, and the aggressive styling of the headphone, even the black is not the most nondescript headphone…it's like saying a bright red Lamborghini stands out less than a yellow one! :)

  • Thanks
Grabbed a set of UE6000s… been needing an excuse to grab some decent headphones for work

    • Just make sure you try Turtle Beaches before you buy them - never had a pair that fit me and i've tried most of their models.

  • Got em! 83 dollars. Yeah boi. Love Oz Bargain.

  • Ugh! guys, UE6000 vs Audio Technica M50s?

I have the ATH-M50s but they're a bit too bass heavy for my liking and I feel like the mids are a bit recessed.

What's the soundstage of these like?

    • Bass heavy

    • i haven't heard M50 before, but i would guess that in active mode (with noise cancellation/bass boost turned on) UE6000 would be more bass heavy (and also recessed mids), whereas in passive mode (NC/BB turned off) the UE6000 would be more neutral/balanced.

soundstage on UE6000 is decent enough for a closed can. no idea how it compares to M50 tho.

which headphone should you buy? i can't say. personally i'm a little skeptical on the M50…but then as i said, i have never heard them myself, so take that with a grain of salt.

  • These get hot on the ears after 20-30minutes, not good for long periods of listening. My ears go tomato red afterwards

  • argh, another none essential item purchased from OB!

    thanks OP.. I think!:)

  • Thanks. I grabbed the white ones.

  • +1

Damn i missed the Bose QC15 deal…wanna wait for another one of those, if they ever come :(

  • Bought the UE6000 in white, thanks :)
    Really don't think I need but I couldn't resist.

  • Thanks bought the UE6000 in white too. Thanks ozbargain!. Temptation was too much to resist.

It's amazing these headphones were originally $200. I guess this $83 delivered deal is the cheapest it's ever been. Probably never see it on a deal this cheap again.

  • Black ones sold out, only the white ones left guys, better hurry ;)

  • Woo Hoo, missed the last deal but got it this time. Very happy gamer!

  • It's not expired yet. Removed expiry tag.

  • Hmmm… discount code didn't work for for me (UE4000 + cable) :/

    Edit: Coupon expired midnight

  • Coupon power is expired for me.
I'm guessing since its past midnight on the east coast, hence a new day.

    • Yes it's past midnight on the east coast. Best time to have ordered this headphone was before then. Now back to $88 delivered.

  • Ordered headphone and cable, received email only cable was dispatched. Anyone same?

  • The UE6000 white is now at $198. The black version must have completely sold out.

It's not every day you get a $200 headphone for $83.

    • to be fair, the RRP of $200 is high…i'd say they are $100-$150 headphones.

$83 is still a great price though! i paid $100, and am happy with that.

they were available in the US for as low as US$26 (from memory) with cashback redemptions - now THAT was a bargain!!! :)

  • Which sound quality is better? UE4000 and Sennheiser HD201.

    • +1

HD201's are terrible, they completely lack bass and has high distortion on high volumes. Not very loud either. Don't buy these.

      • Thanks for the info!

    • +1

Logitech UE4000 will beat the Sennheiser HD201 hands down.

      • +1

Yep, HD201's are also very cheap low end headphones (RRP is $30) whereas the UE4000 was originally $100 RRP when it first debuted.

It's also not very commuter friendly as the cord is very long (10 feet!).

      • Thank you Hollykryten!

      • On amazon the prices are similar, and I haven't tried ue4000, so no idea which one is better.

  • Got my shipping notification for the UE6000s

    • +1

      DickSmith dungoofed…

They separated my UE4000s + cable into two invoices, and I've only got the shipping notification for the cable. Hope I haven't been scammed. :P

      • That's a pretty expensive cable you got there… =p

        • exact same thing happened here

        • It's Tandy by Monster™®© but I reckon it's pretty good value.

Welp, I was charged for both items so hopefully someone on their end actually reads and responds to emails and can tell me if my UE4000s have been shipped without confirmation or if the packer just dungoofed. :P

        • I have a feeling that it's because they ship from different warehouses. Will post an update whenever DickSmith provides one. :/

        • Don't worry, they dispatched two items separately probably because they were from different warehouses. I got their email back:

Thank you for taking time to email Dick Smith Online.

    • I'm still waiting for a shipping notification for mine for the UE6000 white. The order just says processing?. Hope it's not a case of them selling more than what there was stock for.

      • Probably just a (very) slow day at the DickSmith warehouse. Sometimes I get shipping notifications at 10am, sometimes they're in the afternoon.

The white pair is still in stock on their website so there shouldn't be any dramas… Send an email if you're overly concerned via the contact form on their website.

        • Sent that email yesterday and there's been no reply. I made 2 orders the other day and they're both only showing as processing no goods sent yet. Is that normal?. Or is it just how Dick Smith operates taking days to send out supposedly in stock goods. It's not the Dick Smith that it used to be.

  • UE6000s turned up today but with a broken clip on the battery compartment..
Anyone know how easy it is to exchange in-store or an online purchase with dick smiths?

    • Have a look through the online returns policy

      http://www.dicksmith.com.au/help/online-orders/online-return…

You should be able to bring the faulty headphone to a nearby B&M store to arrange a returns claim there according to what it says

"You can also return or exchange most online purchases at any Dick Smith store. Simply approach the sales or service counter for assistance where you wish to make a claim under our Returns Policy or the ACL, including when:
Goods are damaged or faulty through no fault of your own
      Goods are incorrectly ordered
      Goods are supplied incorrectly
Goods vary from their description on the website (or any sample provided)"

      • thanks… just saw that…
too bad none of my local stores have stock though for an exchange :(

  • My Tandy cable arrived today in a MASSIVE box. No sign of UE4000 yet.

    • My UE6000 hasn't even been shipped yet which is strange because a laser printer i ordered from Dick Smith online two days later was shipped yesterday. I wonder if Dick Smith online over sold on these UE4000 and UE6000 headphones.

    • Mine still says "In Transit". No updates since thursday either.

Starting to think they lost the parcel.

      • Could mean they never even handed over the item to the courier.
