i have one of these, threw one of my LSD AA NiMH in it as a test and it cooked it. came out extremely hot and when i retested it in my MAHA c9000 it had droped a couple hundred mAH. ive not been game to destroy another NiMH since.

for my lipos (which was the reason i bought it anyway) it seems to work fine tho.

thanks for the warning. I've had an eye out for a c9000-equivalent for my LiPo's, pity you've found this isn't the universal solution…though I'm still tempted.

btw, how do you know it isn't also cooking your LiPo's ?

well, to be honest i dont really. im certainly only learning things with lipos which is why i bought this. i know a fair bit about the dangers of lipos so wanted something safer than the cheap shitty chargers you can get (i dont like the whole heat/fire/explody thing about poorly charged lipos) i also read reviews on budget light forums i think it was which painted this as a reasonable charger, which for now is all im really after. i dont want to spend $200+ for a "good" charger.

the only real way i have been able to judge this charger is by my lipos staying very cool while charging (unlike the AA i tried which i was barely able to hold in my hand after it charged) and what i had read on other forums about this charger. also the mAh i expect from my lipos are what the charger tells me they are charging to, same as my c9000 tells me the charge capacity when i charge my NiMH's.

hope all that makes enough sense.

imho just shell out for the c9000 if your charging AA/AAA. i bought mine a few years ago now and its flawless. my hobbyking LSD's still test within a couple of mah (which is above there advertised mah) even years after i got them.

the La Crosse BC-900 is also good, but again imo its worth the couple extra bucks to get the maha.

That's awfully close to being internally inconsistent.

lol, its late, and im about to head to bed….. but i cant help but look at all your battery listings with there fake mAh claims.. and laugh about this… do you honestly mean what you say rep? or are you just trying to bullshit your customers into wasting there money on your over exaggerated claims?

i mean…. if your actually being honest…… im going to order a HEAP of items… as long as you offer a money back guarantee of your claims.

        • And who pays return postage?

        • Even then it is illegal to send fake goods through the post. So I won't be doing that

Definitely avoid these guys. Very dodgy products. I bought a few things from them and wasn't a pleasant surprise that their torches stop working within a few days.

  • No AU plug, or at least a US plug, and no user manual supplied?
