  • Cool pedal and great guys to deal with!!

  • Does anyone have any idea if this pedal is worth the $199, or is there something that would be better for around the price range?

    • Personally I'd look at the G3 or G3X (G3 about the same price as this, no expression pedal though).

I have the Zoom G5 (has same effects/system software as G3/G3X, just more effects concurrently, plus Z-Pedal, etc). I'm pretty happy with it, I use it gigging (no other pedals, just my Marshall JCM800).

The modelling community give the G3 a very good price/performance rating (its cheap and decent modeller + MFX). I cant remember if it was thegearpage or thestompbox, but I read heaps about the Zoom G3/G5 before I committed.

      • You wouldn't happen to know how those compare with the Line6 Pod 2.0? I'm currently in the market for a multifx pedal, but it's hard to find a place anywhere near me that has these to demo and test before buying.

        • Pod 2.0 is more a pure amp simulator, with limited effects (and limited control of those effects). If you're looking for something for recording, IMHO the Pod kills this, but if you're looking for a multi-effect for gigging with good controllability, this might be a better bet. I've used the Pod in the recording studio for years and it's sounds are fantastic.
