      You know what $#!t$ me no end - businesses cluttering this forum/website with trash just because they happen to own the business. These businesses fail to appreciate that this forum exists to benefit bargain hunters and not businesses who are hardly interested in offering bargains to forum subscribers.

      As far as danilochan and shoppingsquare are concerned, check out the "bargains" offered and make up your own mind:

        I happen to actually like shoppingsquare, and danilochan does post a few good deals now and then but the amount of Carp posted here by some reps is ridiculous

        i agree with what you are saying. the problem with the reps is they are not arms length with the company. Occasionally they post good deals, and other times they are just posting their 'weekly specials'. Remember when they get heaps of neg votes, they get banned from posting for a certain period. If it occurs regularly, then the mods (scotty) etc give them the flick.
        Oh well, it's up to us to vote them up/down.

      Just because you don't consider it a bargain doesn't mean everyone else has the same view.

      There'd be no point having a voting system if everyone had the same opinion.

      Unless you can supply the moderators with some evidence, such accusations are unproductive and reduce your own credibility.

          @McMerc: I know your comment wasn't intended to be too barbed, however, whether intentionally or unintentionally, it: a) casts aspersions on those who did vote positive (which would require evidence); and b) is an implicit (or perhaps not so implicit) criticism of their judgment.

          It is and it's one I stand by. Your question was obviously rhetorical, intended to make a point. Rhetoric can be a wonderful thing, but I don't think there was any grounds to criticise established users (including user #1) in this instance.

          But if you do, be prepared to back up the rhetoric.
