  • Price is good, but product is crap.

    So… I guess I won't vote either way.

  • Bring back the Logitech Wave! :)

    Tantryl,

Whilst you are entitled to your opinion - the only review I have found is in the link below:

    http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/63226/KEYBOARD_ALL/Laser/default…

And its far from "crap" as you opinionise. Do you have any "real" experience with this Keyboard? I would love to hear it?

    Thanks

    ODS.

      Hey ODS

I was basing the opinion on everything I've tried from Laser, having never tried this particular product. I've used several keyboards and a couple of their mice, along with some HDD enclosures and a headset.

All of them have been plasticky, flimsy, and had a tendency to crack easily.

If Cobalt_ is right and it's a rebranded Wolf Claw II though, it's probably good value. Hopefully made in the same factory with the same physical materials and not the usual crap Laser pumps out.

        Tantryl,

Thanks for your reply - at least its not the DEAL you are "bashing" :)

I personally havent used them - but asked the guys in the w/h to bring one up for me - and for the $$$ involved - they look pretty good - but I'm not a gamer ;)

Hopefully they will make something soon that you like :)

        Best,

        ODS

      • Have to agree re: Laser products - I've purchased a few and will never do so again. Complete crap - especially the 4 port KVM I bought - buggy as hell (and the exchange one was exactly the same).

  • Looks like a rebranded WolfClaw.

    Also appears on engadget

No idea what happened to Wolf Claw's homepage, looks like they've disappeared off the planet

    terms:
We accept returns for those items which were described with incorrect information, damaged in shipment, the wrong item was shipped, or a return authorization was issued, ONLY if returned in the original packaging. Buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

Why should buyers be responsible for return shipping if wrong item is shipped or described incorrectly? This is ridiculous and on that I won't buy.

      Fenger,

Whilst i am unhappy that you wont buy :) i can assure you that you have misunderstood the wording.

If WE make a mistake then WE fix it. Simple. No BS. Just the way it should be - and we do make mistakes we are human too!!The customer is NOT out of pocket.

However - if you change your mind - then the costs are on you.

We are trying to say that if we make a mistake - then we fix it - but all sales are final. Warranty applies to EVERYTHING that we sell.

I hope this makes it a little clearer?

      ODS.

Companies cannot force you to use original packaging anyway.

Companies cannot impose terms or conditions on product returns that attempt to limit or exclude your statutory rights - such as requiring that you return them in original packaging, or with a receipt (as long as you can prove where you purchased the goods). Any attempt to do so may be a serious breach of the Act.

Original packaging can be required for voluntary warranties, but not for remedies under consumers' statutory rights.

‘Voluntary warranties’ are the written and verbal promises sellers and manufacturers make about their goods and services. […]
Depending on the terms and conditions, these warranties may entitle consumers to a refund, replacement or repair if there is a problem. […]
A voluntary warranty forms part of the contract between the buyer and the seller. This means consumers have the right to take legal action against the seller if the warranty is not honoured, and this includes any claims about the future availability of services, spare parts and replacement parts. […]
However, problems that are not covered by a voluntary warranty may still breach a statutory warranty or condition. For example, if the fault means the goods are not of merchantable quality, a consumer may still be entitled to a remedy under their statutory rights. […]

Packaging – a seller may require a consumer to return goods in their original packaging as a condition of claiming a refund under a voluntary warranty. However, a consumer seeking a refund under their statutory rights, and who has met the other requirements listed on p. 8 of this guide, does not need to return the packaging.

See the Warranties & consumer rights (ACCC) forum topic.

      • ODS, it is more mis-wording then I misreading the words. I suggest that the terms and conditions be re-worded so that it is as clear as what you have just said and what others have commented.

        • I think I see what they're getting at now - remedies under consumers' statutory rights as normal, but also a voluntary warranty covering change of mind (which is not otherwise entitled to a remedy from the seller). And that voluntary warranty requires the original packaging, and the customer is to pay the return shipping costs.

But how does change of mind go with "[…] all sales are final"?

We accept returns for those items which were described with incorrect information, damaged in shipment, the wrong item was shipped, or a return authorization was issued, ONLY if returned in the original packaging. Buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

      1. "described with incorrect information" - customers are entitled to a remedy from the seller. ACCC: "The goods must match the description given to the consumer, or the sample shown."

      2. "damaged in shipment" - customers are entitled to a remedy from the seller. ACCC: "Goods must be of merchantable quality […] They should also be free from defects that were not obvious at the time of purchase."

      3. "the wrong item was shipped" - customers are entitled to a remedy from the seller. ACCC: "The goods must match the description given to the consumer, or the sample shown."

      4. "a return authorization was issued" - I take it this refers to a voluntary warranty undertaken by the manufacturer. Original packaging can be a condition for voluntary warranties.

      5. "ONLY if returned in the original packaging" - not applicable to #1-3. ACCC: "Similarly, insisting consumers return goods unopened, or in their original packaging may be misleading (as these are not required to claim a remedy under statutory rights) […]"

  • This is rubbish. I paid $14.95 for this keyboard about 6 months ago and it wasn't a special!

  • Curious about this product.. doesn't look too bad but not sure whether I should get it after reading all these comments about it =/

  • Illumination,

Based on the "Bargain" aspect - I dont think it can be beaten. The product is NEW has warranty and is only $14.99 - and at least it isnt a bunch of p00Xi :)

    ODS

    • Well, it's $26.99-$29.99. There's no possible way to only pay $14.99 I'm aware of.
