I've been keeping an eye on a couple of different slow cookers recently, and noticed that MYER currently have a sale on their Breville BSC420 slow cooker.
I haven't been able to find another retailer in Adelaide that sells this model, so the $20 off is better than nothing :)
This is a kick ass slow cooker. I bought one two years ago and it gets a lot of use during the cooler months (a few times a week over later autumn, winter and early spring). It has been going strong and never missed a beat. It cooks nicely and and we do a lot of curries and stews in it. Doesn't dry out the food and is simple to use. I would highly recommend this.
This one looks good … shame I didnt wait and got the cheapo Ronson from Targeee in their regular 50%off sales ($39 from memory for the 6L). If you are at home during the day the timer isn't really required. Having owned a few brands my recommendation is just avoid the Aldi one. I had no luck with the two that have become landfill over the last 2 years after maybe using them 5 or 6 times each at most.
Got this for $69 from the eBay TGG sale… ah the memories…
