      Can be. I bought the superseded (model) iPhone 5 two weeks ago because it had 64GB, and was $30 cheaper than the 8GB 5c which was functionally similar. To get a 64GB iPhone would otherwise cost me over $1,000.

      Not everyone saw the need to ditch their Gen 1 iPad mini for the Retina display, so I'd say equally someone coming from say a 3yo iPad 2 might want this because it has 64GB and supports LTE.
