  • I'm looking for a new sound system. I know nothing about them. Wanting a bass oriented system (not for 'duf duf'- longer reggaee bass notes) Can anyone comment if this is a decent deal?

    • Na
      Vibe is a sh… System
And this one would be the same
      Go for pioneer and kenwood
      Always a reliable brand

  • Not sure about the deal.. But I have 6.5" Components & 6.5" 3-ways just off a pioneer head unit, and they work really good for their price! There no focals by any shot, but for the money they work great. IMO

    • But I have 6.5" Components & 6.5" 3-ways just off a pioneer head unit

speaker brand will make a huge difference tho they are usually fairly efficient anyway. im currently doing the same in my car but they will generally sound better (specially the mids) with more power than your head unit can happily supply.

Only losers try to advertise peak power.

    • +1

At least they bothered to advertise both, so the idiots can drool over PMPO while everyone else can look at RMS.

    • +2

These are the reps that try to sugarcoateverything thinking buyers are nothing more than sweet toothed idiots

      • Hi !

we actually put RMS power on all of our listings unlike many other sellers, we prefer to only advertise RMS power but when we do we get a flood of emails asking what is RMS, so now we do both

        • +1

I think that is a lame excuse. Why not just put RMS power only in the heading and thread without the word 'RMS'since peak power is just a gimmick? I'll tell you why, it is because you are trying to deceive people who may be a little naive when it comes to sound systems.

        • +1

          Hi!

im sorry if you feel that way, as i have said before, we actually put RMS power ratings on all of our listings, i understand your frustration, i have been involved in the car audio business for over 12 years and i have seen this issue come up for debate many times before, the manufacturers put it bold letting on the front of each and every carton that they make with the RMS value somewhere on the side of the package in small print, but we take the time to put together these packages to give our customers the best value for money that we can, whist still keeping them informed of the product that they are purchasing.

we give all the details so people can make informed decisions based on all of the facts, if you have an issue with Peak Power ratings i would suggest that you maybe contact, Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, Fusion, Rockford Fosgate, Sony, Ground Zero, Digital Designs, SoundStream and in fact most of the major manufacturers of not only car but home audio also and ask them why they put Peak Power outputs in bold letting on the front of all their packages and the RMS value in smaller ones somewhere out of the way…

we are not trying to reinvent the wheel, we are just giving great deals on good audio

i have negged this reps deals before for quoting invented pmpo's here and here for being deceptive with over inflated RRP's. seems rep is having some trouble with honesty

well some other companies lie, cheat and deceive so i am forced to do it as well

you can lie about invented selling prices (rrp) or invented power handling (pmpo) but it really wont fly here. you didnt even put "2000w pmpo" which would at least be a little more honest in the title, just that these are "2000w" which is complete BS and you know it.

        • +1

          oh wait…it gets worse…

          • Type: Subwoofer
          • Speaker size: 12″ (324mm)
          RMS Power: 300 watts
          Peak Power: 900 watts
          • Minimum Input: 150 watts RMS
          • Frequency Response: 25Hz – 1,500Hz

600wrms is for the PAIR of subs right? but in fact each sub is only claimed 300wrms (which frankly i find hard to believe anyway.)

and even your claim of 2000w is BS if the subs are only 900wpmpo anyway. last i checked 900*2=1800? so even your invented watt figure is overstated from its own specs?

at least they got there branding right…. FU indeed.. cept i feel its the consumer who is the one getting F'ed

Peak power advertised = shit product and dodgey seller.

i almost jumped in on there previous deal but just cant bring myself to do it even if it was a fairly good price because of spamvertising like this deal. if a company appears dishonest even before i have purchased id hate to see what might happen once i have purchased or even worse needed after sales service.

deals like this just paint a really ugly picture imho

        • HI Nosdan,

i would also like to refer you to my previous statement

        • i am not sure where you get the idea that we are a DODGEY SELLER ?

as i have explained earlier, lying about RRP and watts to gain more sales = dodgy practices, someone that is involved in these activities constitutes a dodgy seller imo

fwiw i have stood up for you like in the alpine splits/coax deal where people negged for inappropriate reasons etc as well, so its not like its a 1 way thing or i have some personal vendetta against you or your business. i just despise being lied to. overinflated rrp's and claiming fake pmpo's are both things that i have a hatred of

    Seems fine for the money!

  • +1

plus not necessarily for the deal but for continuing to do good deals. Ive researched a bit of stuff for mates lately and bought a few products for them and you guys are consistently cheap.

  • Hi Everyone,

it would seem that there is some confusion about the value that you are getting in this package and the specifications on each of the items in it so i thought it best if i outlined what you are getting for your money.

1 x DUAL ACTIVE SUBS thatch two subs, in custom designed box to suit those subs with an amplifier built into it totaling 600 RMS / 2000w peak power as per the factory specifications
1 x Cable kit to bring power from your battery for the dual active subs.
    1 x 6.5" splits / component speakers ( pair)
    1 x 6.5" Coaxial speaker system (pair)
    1 x 4 channel amplifier to run the 4 speakers supplied in the kit ( 4 x 70 RMS @ 4ohm / 720w Peak Power

1 x full Australian warranty backed by vibe australia for 12 months from the date that you get the goods

does anyone feel that this is not good value for money for what you are getting ? we are more than happy to discus it if you are unhappy with the value for what you are getting ?

    many thanks

    • totaling 600 RMS / 2000w peak power as per the factory specifications

but going by there own info arent the actual drivers rated at

      • RMS Power: 300 watts
      Peak Power: 900 watts

as per my post above? even playing nicely and believing these specs are anything close to accurate make this at best 1800wpmpo (900wpmpo x 2)? how do they magically come up with the extra 200w beyond what they even claim for there own driver? is this not the same driver they use in these boxes?

put simply, are these claims of 2000w simply bullshit or am i incorrect somewhere/somehow?

shouldn't you as the retailer/reseller know the product you are selling? at least know it better than your potential customers do?
