VPN.sh £1 Per Year Offer

940

Just got an email from VPN.sh. They are offering £1/year packages for the next 11 hours, before upping the price to £2/year. It includes 150GB of bandwidth per year and they have 27 locations including Australia, USA and UK.

From the email:

At VPN.sh we're once again offering our £1/year packages. As before, this works on a basis of "the quicker you order, the less you pay", so if you wish to add further services, it's best to get in early!

As per usual, you get access to all of our 27 locations, and this allows 150GB of bandwidth per year. This expires on 23rd May 2014.

The offer post itself can be found here.

Please feel free to share this link with friends, family, deal communities and voucher websites if you wish to.

Thanks, and we hope you continue to enjoy the service!

Please note that it will only be £1/year for the next 11 hours until 9AM tomorrow. After that it goes up to £2.

I've been using their service with the Australian IP for a month from this previous deal, and no problems so far.

Anyone else not receive an activation email. Having a lot of trouble getting a reply from them, mind you i suppose £5.50 doesnt get you very good after sales support

    • I have been waiting a whole hour :)

      • I've been waiting now a tad on 3 hrs with no activation email either. I did also submit a request for them to upgrade my plan which I didnt realise was on offer until after I went ahead… Assuming no response from them by the morning I'll just change my vote — hopefully it won't come to that.

Fingers crossed just a minor delay on their part and once working I'll be happily vpn'ing from around the world!.

        • Okay received my confirmation for both plans.. All good now :)

        • Dont forget time difference

        • Yeah, time difference is the only reason for this guys. I've had to grab some sleep, but it's now early afternoon in the UK and I've just gone through all of the orders that have been placed in the last few hours :). Everybody who has ordered should now have their activation email.

Thanks came through about 20min ago

    • you can check your email in the "my email" tab
      https://www.vpn.sh/clients/clientarea.php?action=emails

    • Nothing here either. Strange.

  • +3

It maybe a manual system and they have to sleep at some stage.

    • Yeah poor bugger is answering all the questions here and forgot to do the activations

      • Haha! Activations are all through now. We have it as a manual system for offers like this just so that we can verify the legitimacy of orders, as occasionally there's one or two bad eggs attempting to make fraudulent orders or get away with not paying etc.

Got the activation email after 30 minutes in the afternoon, so I can confirm this is not a spam.

  • Their tutorial pages imply that this service can be used with an iPhone.
Seems like a very cheap way to use WiFi hotspots with encryption.

    • Indeed, we certainly encourage everybody to use a VPN on WiFi hotspots to ensure that nobody is intercepting your data.

    • Although with the VPN end point at your site, you now have access to all our decrypted traffic.

      • Nope, none of your traffic is logged, and we do not have access to your decrypted traffic. Feel free to email me on [email protected] if you have any concerns you'd like to discuss.

  • Hey all,

    Just bought the 500gb/£5.50, bundle!

Got the activation email and instructions instantly!!

    • Glad to hear everything has been received. Enjoy!

  • Hi Store rep, I just purchased. How can I access US App store via VPN ?

    • Hi there, I personally don't have first hand experience with the US App store, but it should simply be a case of connecting to one of our USA VPN locations, and then accessing the App Store in the normal method (browser/app) on your device.

      • Thank you for your response. However I can see the download for Mac / Windows / Linux etc, but is there a way you can download on iOS device (such as iPhone) ?

        • Hey AG1304x, if your just trying to find a way to use the US iTunes / App Store, you don't really need a VPN just a account initially setup for that region!

Instruction i followed a little while ago here:
          http://www.lifehacker.com.au/2010/09/how-to-set-up-a-us-itun…

should still work!! easy as pie and once you get it going you can use it just like any other iTunes account!

        • Hi Kash, I have some balance iTune $$ amount in my Australian iTune account, so it is not allowing me to change my location.

I can access following app on my desktop, but when I try via iOS device, it doesnt work
          https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/bank-america-mobile-banking/…

        • Your iTunes account is tied to the region it was registered in. So if you have an Australian account with credit it would only work in the Australian store. If you change the location it logs you out of your account and when you try to log back in it redirects you back to the Australian store.

        • It appears Yunn Yii below has answered this for you, and it seems that if you have an account in the Australian store, you may not be able to spend other currencies. However to answer your question regarding iOS, you can connect via PPTP or L2TP without having to download any additional software.

        • Sorry to be a pain, I just tried by setting up my VPN on both PPTP & L2TP, and tried server USA 1 (Atlanta): 192.184.86.35, however I am getting error "The L2TP-VPN server did not respond. Try reconnecting. If the problem continues, verify your settings and contact your Administrator". Under iOS Profile, the certificate installed is "Netherlands'. Am I doing something wrong ?

Edit: I changed the server to Chicago, Indiana, but same issue.. However I when I changed the server to India, it is working.. Thanks

        • You can change the region of your AppleID by visiting appleid.apple.com BUT it only works if there is no credit on the account currently.

Otherwise just make a secondary email and use that as your dedicated Apple ID for the US. Most people end up doing that, a lot less hassle and easy to manage.

        • Indiana is no longer available - that should have been removed from our settings, I'll get that looked in to now. I'll see if we're having issues and report back with what I find :)

    Hi rep,

The Shopping Cart page says "Total Recurring: £1.00GBP Annually". Can you confirm that this is definitely the case?

I ask this question because I have had experience with webhosting companies who had exactly the same phrase stated on their order page, but then turned around after one year and claimed that the web page is not correct, and does not apply for "one-off special offers".

    Thanks.

I can confirm that the price is locked in and will not change. In 12 months time an invoice will come through for the following year worth of service, and the invoice will still only be £1.00.

  • Hi, any plans to include Japan as a VPN location?

    • This is planned, but currently we have no ETA.

  • Hi Liam, Could you add China or/and Hongkong? Thank you!

    • Hopefully we can add this within the next week or so. It's likely Hong Kong will be available first.

  • PayPal has taken my money but I just got an email from vpn.sh with my invoice PDF and it has " UNPAID " written in big bold red text across the middle of the document. Is this normal, or has something gone wrong?

Edit: My account now has an invoice with " PAID " in green, but status is still pending - I guess the email is generated in error before the account is manually activated…

You should have received activation email etc. if you've paid. If you're still having issues, please open a support ticket.

      • Thanks rep - I was busy all day today but it looks like it's fixed now :-)

  • Is there any way to use a VPN like this just for specific sites, but access everything else without the VPN. How hola! works. For Hulu etc.

    • Unfortunately there's no simple way to do this. It's either VPN on for everything, or VPN off for everything. Some people use a Virtual Machine on their PC and have that hooked up to the VPN, however this adds quite a bit of effort to getting setup.

  • Still haven't got my order email and client login is not working. Ordered like 6 hrs ago

    • What's your order ID? I'll get this looked into for you ASAP.

      • Inv 7802 thanks

        • Activation email had been sent. I've just sent another to confirm. Please check your inbox.

  • For some reason the price has risen prematurely, the time is 8:11am (20:11 GMT) and the price is already £2.

    • Mate, better hurry up, it will increase to £3 in 14 hours

    • This is my fault. The time is actually 22:23 GMT, so the price shall be altered back to £1 for the next 37 minutes. Get in now before the price rises.

  • Hi Rep, I am still facing challenge in connecting most of the USA servers listed in the website. I did a "ping test", I got the below result:

    C:\>ping (Mod: Ip Address)

Pinging (Mod: Ip Address) with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from (Mod: Ip Address): Destination host unreachable.
    Request timed out.
    Request timed out.
    Request timed out.

Ping statistics for (Mod: Ip Address):
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 1, Lost = 3 (75% loss),

Am I doing any steps wrong ?

    • If you are having issues connecting to specific locations, please open a support ticket and we can resolve things through there.

  • Any one can provide list of good free overseas stream tv/movie/sport sites?

  • Still haven't got the email.I suspect incorrect email address.lodged a support ticket. Please have a look when you get the chance
