VPN.sh - Celebratory £1.50/Year Offer!

190

From the Email I received:
At VPN.sh, we're avid supports of the football (soccer) team, Leicester City. Today they were promoted to what is arguably the most prestigious league on the planet, the Barclays Premier League!

To celebrate, we're offering a 150GB/year VPN package for just £1.50 per year. That's just a penny per GB throughout the year, and you can use it to access all of our 27 locations.

Please note that this is only valid until Monday 7th April 2014, as we'll be closing the offer after our weekend celebrations!

To view more information and to order your VPN, please visit http://offer.vpn.sh and share the link with your friends, family, deal/voucher websites etc. so that others don't miss out before we end this offer!

If you already have a package with us, please feel free to order this as an extra to your current package, however we'd appreciate it if you kept the spirits happy by not cancelling your other services.

Thanks, and enjoy!

They did a similar (but better deal around Xmas last year $1 per year for 20gb/month).
I purchased the deal but havn't used it yet!
Be interested to hear feedback from anybody who has used their service

  • Edit: Ok, after finding some interesting reviews, I'm going to give this a try. Not much to lose.

  • Can this be used s a seedbox?

    • No. For seedbox I use seed.st have been using it a little over a year now on the $5/no plan and its excellent value.

Figured I may as well sign up and have it as a spare to my unotelly smart DNS (their own VPN is around $20 extra on top of the DNS). For $2.80aud you can't really complain. Quite a lot of locations available.

  • What happens after 150GB? You just simply can't use it anymore? Are you able to 'top up' or some sort?

  • +1

Your privacy policy is very short. How long do you hold onto IP addresses for? Do you log traffic?

Sorry - I should have made it clear that I'm in no way associated with the company so I can't answer any questions. Maybe the wording of the email including 'we' caused confusion but I just cut/paste from an email I received from them.

Here is one review I could find. Speaks pretty positive of the service.

Woohoo BBC F1 coverage here me come :D, thanks OP.

    • Skysports you mean :) but thats exactly what I did with my $1 for 20GB month plan :)

      • Don't care either way, as long as there's no ads to interrupt!

        • I can't stand listening to that shiny headed c***t greg rust!

  • I use this service. Joined during last OzBargain offer https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/128748 for the 20GB per month plan.

They had a whole heap of issues during my first 2 weeks, which turned out to be because they had so many signups in a short period, most of the servers you connect to couldn't handle the load. Everything has been well the last 2 months, with most of the servers operational. I would recommend them. Especially at this price!

  • just to check - i take it i take out this offer and would then be able to watch things on bbc iplayer? I've tried some of the other "get arounds"like media hint, but without much success as the streaming has been too slow to actually watch anything.

    • +1

Yeah if you use the UK ip address included, iPlayer will think you're in the UK and allow you to stream.

  • Did notice i could add multiple £1.50 per year items via returning to the offer page. Havn't tried checking out.

Reckon i shall stick to my $5 a month thundernews 10GB usenet with free unlimited data/connections VPN from OctaneVPN. They dont log and they are quick, many times more servers and locations, and i put pretty much all my traffic through them. Half the price of just the octane service.
They dont seem to be expiring their deals - this one has been available for ages

  • Mini2 why on earth would you want to have BBC F1 coverage! F1 without Martin Brundle is like morning without coffee. Sky = F1…..BBC = go karts.

  • Can I just say, signed up for this service with the deal, and I am pretty impressed.

I am a basic VPN user, but this has worked pretty well for me. Had issue with one of their US servers but just switched to another and it worked fine.

Set it up with my tablet as well which is pretty sweet.

    Thanks for the post drongodave!

    Cheers!

  • Me too! Signed up for the offer and have been streaming BBC iplayer with no problems (i.e good quality, no buffering etc).
    Many thanks OP!
