  • So, for How Long does this 50% reduction last? Just ONE month?

If so, this is a lousy deal.

Others give a WHOLE (not just a HALF) MONTH free.

BETTER: 50% Off for the Life of the (User's Love for) Vendor's service.

    • Meagerly a 4% contextualised within a year, and dang, requiring collection at the PO.

Neither really much an incentive to reduce my [4G]allowance 75% for paying more each an every other month.

      Strikingly antiquated plan.

    so i save $1.

    where do i sign ?

only 50% off 1st month.. I'll stick to me legacy TPG plan

    • The best in the history of oz telco

  • does this work, if I am an amaysim customer, port to another a carier and then port back?

  • Question. Is there a way to find out reliable service areas on Amaysim?
My Mum just transferred to Amaysim, and she is having dropouts in Suburban Melbourne (Mentone)
I like what Amaysim has to offer, but I'm about to move to the sticks… (straight Optus works where I'm moving)

    • +1

You will receive the same basic connectivity and reception as you have now. No restrictions in that sense, so not like Aldi's 3G vs NextG arrangement with Telstra.

If you are accustomed to Optus postpaid as opposed to prepaid - but depending on the APN you were using then - you may notice a not-insignificant difference in data speeds. The contrast can be a little stark at times.
Otherwise, it'll be as you're used to.

  • Interesting, after being an Amaysim customer for 2 years now they are trying to extort money out of me by insisting I upgrade to a $100 plan, in Australia this is called extortion, I'm inviting you to explain yourself here in front of your subscribers here so they have a choice to change companies before its too late

Steven Riley So then what you are saying is that I have no choice then paying $100 to buy a data pack, is that correct? Its fine, I'm just making sure all of your current subscribers know about your extortion policy

amaysim We're sorry to hear you feel that way Steven.

You can either wait until your data pack renews for more data, use data at the rate of 5c per MB or you can upgrade to a data pack of higher value then the one you have currently.

Steven Riley So in short your answer is upgrade to a pack of $100, I have no data now

amaysim If you've currently got an empty 4 GB data pack, than the 10 GB data pack is the next available option to purchase if you don't wish to wait for your plan to renew for more data.

Steven Riley The choice is wait until the 14th of June with no data, pay $100 or pay $50 per gig of data

Steven Riley Hello Amaysim, do you have a response for this "The choice is wait until 14th of June with no data, pay $50 per gig or pay $100 to upgrade, this is extortion"

Steven Riley AS I thought, no reply because this is the bottom line which is extortion, well done Amaysim, this is the sort of attitude that breaks a company
