  • This is the reseller kit. Great price too.
Shame I got the 120g for 130~ last yr

  • because a new wave of ssd is coming soon however these new SSDs wont be peaking the SATA 3 format form factor of max 600MB/S read or write.

Meaning they reach a bottle neck and from here on, once every body is 500-600 mb/s the only way is price go downward or same price for bigger size

TLC drive like the one by EVO series are coming for other chip builders like Toshiba, hence a new way of price being driven down further…

    • or flash chip manufacturers reduce production to increase demand and thus price

      • That would be a bad idea this early in the SSD game, there's alternatives to SSD as opposed to RAM.

A lot of people still aren't able to justify the cost of one. Price fixing ain't gonna win them over.

Already happening. It happened to RAM almost 2 years ago, now it is happening to NAND. I spent $135 on 16GB RAM before the price rise; the same kit will now cost ya $200. So that'll give you and idea what to expect from all of this. More recent news here

        • Yeah it happened to me too,
8gb Corsair LP for 55 now up to 115.
Do you reckon it'll go up even more?

        • Yes, but not to the point where it would increase the price of SSD. That would be suicide at this point.

What NAND manufacturers are trying to avoid is a downward trend from happening too fast, and that is understandable, as it creates unrealistic expectations of what the SSD market will shape up to look like over the next two years.
