not a great bargain at all - first off its the older 1525 inspiron… you can order a new inspiron 1545 online with far greater specs for less (I paid $925 with a 10% discount code found online at http://www.shopandearn.com.au/electrical-goods-and-gadgets/d… , 4gb ram, dedicated ATI graphics, 15.6 WLED screen, 2.0ghz T4200).
I'm not going to -ive it tho… some 'old hat' people just prefer to walk into a store and buy something…
13 months ago when I bought this laptop, I only paid $960 and it came with 1-year of extended warranty (though it was only a 1.8Ghz processor with 1GB of RAM and 160GB of HDD).
Seriously get the newer Inspiron 1500 for $999 (DSE) or ($900 online with 10% off) with same specs, but better screen

You can get the same model with MS Office Home & Student 2007 bundled for $1087 from Officeworks ($91 more). Only other difference is 2GB of RAM instead of 3GB.
So if you're after Office H&S 2007 to go with it, it's about the same or a little better (you can get an extra 2GB So-DIMM for $30 or less at many computer shops like MSY).
