For $50 I think it would make a reasonable phone for a school kid, $151 is a joke though.

You can pick up 16GB 3GSes for ~$100 and iPhone 4s for not much more than $149, not to mentioni any number of low-ish end Androids.

you can get a decent android 1gb/4gb 5" quad core chinaphone for less than $100. or an Iclone 5c for $100. why would you want this dinosaur?
Even a smartwatch has surpassed an iPhone 3GS now, in terms of features and specifications.
IOS 7.x dropped support for 3GS. So you are stuck on IOS 6.x with this
it lags enough with IOS 6, if you could install IOS 7, it would be unusable.
rather stuck with iOS 5, iOS 6 is too buggy, some kill wireless/bt chip too!
I still use the 3GS and it is very slow and sometimes lags. I like it cause it was given to me for free but anything over $50 is excessive for this very outdated phone…

If it was a 32gb it would be a good alternative to an iPod touch, but its only 8GB.

god I have this as my work phone and I hate it with a passion. one good thing though is the speaker volume is decent.. better than my old trusty SG3.
