any reviews?
I can't see any warranty period specified on the site, so I would assume that means its 1 year.
Officeworks have a Western Digital 500GB Pocket Hard Drive for $195, with a 3 year warranty.
No offence to you Mwave but from personal experience (TV, phone, VCR) LG mass produce any crap they can get their badge on. The quality of their products is on par (at best) with your generic Kmart and Target brands.
I think this is important to take into consideration with an HD as you don't want to risk losing any important data for the sake of a few $$.
I'm not voting neg tho', as this is just my opinion on the product as opposed to the 'bargain'.
agreed
I have just checked the packaging of the product it has 2 years warranty - and some LG guy said the HDD in there is Hitachi.
As for performance I can't really say how good it is - As i have not personally tried out the drive myself etc but just looking @ the price should be a bargain?
if it's hitachi then it's good, but i do also hate LG stuff, have had very bad experience with their products
Wow LG 2.5" 500GB for $139.99 cheaper than chips
I personally prefer the DSE deal on the WD ESSENTIALS 400GB + Case Logic hard case for $157 (reputable seller, no delivery or warranty hassles)
For those worried about LG quality (depending on what hard drive is inside) there is this othe option for $150 (or cheaper with a cheaper case. You can get decent $10 case's from MSY):
500GB Fujitsu HD: $128.90

Vantec 2.5" case: $21.70

Alternatively it's available from:

Free pickup from their store (in Perth).
nice deal. has anyone had any experience with this hard drive?
