It'll probably end up being 1 free burger per store..

    • LOL

      • yea… Even the tickets from tiger airways would be more expensive…

Had one today - not bad but nothing spectacular. Still prefer Zinger.

Imagine the queues on Tuesday :)

Is this the one at Town Hall (corner of George and Bathurst)?

    • I think so. 485 George Street. One of the busiest corner in Sydney. Can't imagine the length of queue on Tuesday…

  • I have a feeling this is going to be huggggggeee….

Huge? Size of burger? KFC has always disappointed me in this regard. :)

      • Huge as in the possible lines to these stores once word gets out. Yeah burgers should be smallish I guess.

        • around the size of the original fillets, but it tastes better.

@hkdrift: lol, how can anyone justify giving a negative to free food.

          • @hkdrift: Curious as to how this justifies a negative vote? Is it because you believe it is not a genuine freebie? Or is it simply because YOU can't be bothered collecting it?

          • @hkdrift: what hassle? if you you're near the area it's free food! man what a scrooge

            • @donnytuco: The lazy bugger wants it home delivered for free apparently.

@hkdrift: Hey, there's nothing wrong with those Deluxe Cheeseburgers.

      • Yep, not a large burger by any means.

  • Kelvin Grove in Brisbane? Wow that's lame. Why not CBD like the other cities? Talk about trying to minimise their losses. Or perhaps it's like their TV ads focusing on students. Are there any unis near the sydney and melbourne participating stores?

    • +1

RMIT is about 4 blocks away. UniMelb is a 15 minute walk / 8 minute tram ride. Students are right in the middle of exams though, so there's not as many on campus as there would be a month ago.

  • NO W.A?

Move to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

The stuff is processed crap, they have to give it away. Poor chickens.

  • the only good burger at kfc is the tower. the one with the delicious hash brown yum

  • dont want to think about how long i have to wait on the queu for a burger… probly will use all my lunch break time just for this hahaha

  • +1

hopefully I can get one between my exams tomorrow. Might help me focus better for the second exam. :)
Hopefully most of the Uni students in Melb are busy with their exams & the store does not run out or has long lines.

you crazy? the unsaturated fat gona make you drowsy during ur exam..

  • damn only melbourne in victoria.

  • Where the hell is the KFC on Elizabeth Street Melbourne?

    • near the corner to Flinders Street. Beside Coles.

    • +1

go to Lord of the Fries it's yummier

  • Is it a new store?

  • Counting down…

Do you need print/bring anything? Or just ask for free burger?

  • Any news?

    • +2

They are still waiting in line.

  • even the $5.95 discount vouchers exclude Qld and WA!! :(

  • got mine, the burger reminded me of the taste of kebabs (the ones on a stick, not the proper ones)…

    • So you just have to ask for it? Need to show them anything?

I've just walked past the George St. Sydney store and there is a massive queue, not worth $5 burger to wait for 20 minutes (unless you're a poor student I guess).

There is a KFC person however handing out free burger coupons valid till 23/6 which I took and will be redeeming my free burger sans the wait over the next week

  • +1

Waited in line for 15 minutes at the George St store and also picked up a voucher for a free one valid for a week.
Not bad but nothing to write home about.

  • Ok I probably give it a miss then.

  • Waited in line at Elizabeth KFC, they said there'd be a 30 minute wait so took the coupon instead. Head over later in the week for some no-wait free burger.

  • AAAAGGGHHH Too many people down at the Elizabeth St KFC

  • Arrived 12pm sharp at kelvin Grove. Handed a coupon at the entrance. Waited in line for less than 10 minutes to be served and another 5 minutes for the burger to be ready. Tastes ordinary but a great freebie!

    • Heh, same, I was Steve Irwin if you were wondering. Absolutely crap tasteless burger, I make better food…but considering it's KFC, it makes perfect sense!

    Adelaide?
    boned again :+(

WA & QLD are largely franchise stores. This is a YUM! promotion so that is why there is no freebies in either state.

  • here comes the vouchers for Cayan Burgers
