  Are the xps studio 13 any good? Read the thread on whirlpool and seems it suffers from overheating issues. Just wondering how prevalent is this issue? Comments on battery life is great as well.

  It use to suffer from heating issues, this was also due to the nvidia chipset. It's all good, just get a 2 year warranty and they will replace anything no questins asked. Always happy with the dell on site service. Great deal btw thumbs up

  Would have been a good deal 6 months ago (pretty high-end Studio 13 for $1600) - Dell must really feel the pressure with all these super-slim notebooks and netbooks coming up. We'll probably see many more deals before financial year is over!

  I thought the design was the fault. Something about the monitor blocking the vent when opened. Same for the xps studio 16 model. So if the design is still the same, how has the heating issue been resolved?
