unless they put the price up when the offer starts…

      • +4

Gerry Harvey hasn't bought them yet.

      • doubt it very much, as price match is part of their obligations!

        • do they price match online though ?

        • Yep, I've price matched online prices, actually matched to a different model and the chat person didn't even realise but still gave me a price that was 10% less.

They include any shipping costs in the total online price though.

    • got the q100 at $218 after the $40 discount! thanks for the heads up.

Any advice on a good blow vac rechargeable?

    • I bought the Worx one and it works very well on hard surface

Hmm, if these stay at sale prices they represent pretty good value IMO:
    https://www.masters.com.au/product/900005093/rockworth-2-5hp… (currently on sale @ $299)
    https://www.masters.com.au/product/900001180/rockworth-3-0hp… (currently on sale @ $358)

Note the 2.5HP is 10A but the 3.0HP is 15A. May not be as bulletproof as the locally made TradeTools version I bought several years ago but sheesh these are already about a third of the price even before the $40 off deal! I sold my TradeTools compressor during a house move so I'm looking for a decent replacement but only for light home workshop type use so these may fit the bill perfectly. Cheers OP!

    • Having gone the elcheapo route with a direct drive. I say go for the belt ones. Once bitten twice shy. Belt drives are so much quieter and can be easily repaired if needed.

  • Does it still apply to click n collect orders?

  • I'm looking to get a pressure cleaner for the car, are the ones $200+ necessary or the sub$160 ones are good enough? From other posts, it seems anything under 1800 psi is not that useful.. any tips?

    • i have 1600psi and it's pretty good. much prefer a bigger one, but obviously i dont need it, it just takes a bit longer to do the job. you wouldn't want any less than 1600 i'd say

Do Masters have good deals on Dysons?

    • You've just missed it.
Good guys had it on special last week and masters beat it 10% less from GG (-$20 voucher from the pledge)

  • Will they stop me making multiple $200 purchases?

    • They might physically restrain you.

      Your missus might.

Not if they're all kitchen cabinets…

I hesitantly bought an Ozito 'Silent Shredder' from Bunnings a few years ago that looks similar to the Wesco above (http://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-2400w-silent-electric-shred…). I had piles & piles of small trees to mulch/shred but didn't want/need the hardcore-ness or noise of a petrol shredder. It's a slow moving mechanism but much to my surprise it does an incredibly good job and can handle surprisingly large & tough material. If the Wesco unit is the same then I'd highly recommend it but you'll need to buy something else to get over the $200 ;)

      • +1

I have one of these Ozito ones as well and it works a treat. Will mulch a whole tree :)

  • Any recommendations for the lawn mover? Budget is $250-$300 before the discount.

  • I was in the market for a cordless impact wrench but they don't seem to have many at all…

    • how many do you need?

  • Can I get $80 off if I enter "SAVE80"?

  • Can I use it multiple times?

  • Can the cart add up to $200+ or does the one item have to be $200+ ?

    • I think $200. BUt last time i just bought some seeds for a couple of dollars to bring up to amount.
edit: it does say OVER on flyer.

      • +1

Nah, I think VJK was asking if it had to be a single item or if it could be multiples. Multiple items would surely be OK as it only states it needs to be a single transaction… not just a single item.

Urgghhh just apply the code at the checkout and find out!
Not everyone need something that is >$200 it would be useless for many.

      • Can't be tested until Monday.

  • I am assuming that I can use Wish Gift Cards that were purchased at Woolies using my ING wave pay! -5%

    • Yes you may. Masters online check out allows for wish gift cards. Any balance can be paid via other means of card payment.

  • There are more discounts to be had, read on.

I'm currently doing renovations and also received this $40 offer. You can also 5% off total order by either of the following:

    1. Sign up to newsletter (found below any product you view) <— quickest option
    2. Register an account (handy if you plan on being a regular but takes slightly longer)

Both give you the same code so you can't use stack them or use them separately.

Be aware, these codes are good for 7 days only, so try to do this within 7 days of a planned purchase.

I'm spending thousands there at the moment, they told me they might be able to get me 2-3% off, another said possibly 5% and most say "we already have the lowest prices and don't offer ANY discount" …. well by using the $40 + the 5% you can save a lot more. 7% here.

    • By "Register an account", do you mean a trade account (requiring an ABN, etc)?

      • Yep, I just registered an account earlier. The ABN was optional. Whilst I do have an ABN, I didn't use it.

    • Just registered. They wanted my DOB. Any further discounts if you might have a birthday this week ? Wink wink

    • I can't seem to add another code after getting 5% off the order - the area where you type in your voucher grayed out and you only have the option to remove the already applied voucher.

Any ideas on how to stack vouchers?

      • I had tried to stack 2 discount codes ( joining 5% and something like 25 off $125) earlier but as you said it didn't allow me to use 2 discount codes. You can use only 1 code unless there is a different way of doing it.

  • +1

The $40 off offer clearly states that "Cannot be combined with any other offer."

    • Yep, tried it earlier today and you cannot stack these codes. It's one or the other.

  • Had my eye on the Black and Decker 18V Pole pruner for $199 for a while. Added a mini basil plant for $1 and got $40 off the total. Ordered on mobile site just after 8am and ready for click and collect pickup by 12! You couldn't even get someone out to prune a couple of trees for $160, and this has a 4 year warranty.

    • I was looking at that, but ended up getting a petrol one. I wasn't sure how much power 18V one had. Petrol one goes through very thick branches like butter. Almost as good as my chainsaw.

  • Guys - can anybody please recommend a good whipper sniper/line trimmer under $200 (preferably battery operated)
My 1 year old petrol one just died…

    I am considering the Bosch 18V ART 26 - LI - price is $188

Has anybody used this specific product? There are mixed reviews on-line however I only have a small yard.

    Thanks

    • +1

Stay away from them! A friend bought one to match her Li-Ion Bosch mower that she was very impressed with. The Bosch Trimmer uses little plastic 'blades' instead of the standard 'line' and they're really pretty crappy plus you're then tethered to only buying those particular Bosch consumables when they wear out!

Bunnings have the ryobi trimmer and blower kit which comes with their new 4Ah battery pack for $200. I've been using them forever and they are brilliant, even better with the new battery. The trimmer comes with 1.6mm line, but it can easily take 2mm line.

Here is an old deal with some info…
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/60961

      • Thanks Stumo
I was also thinking about Ryobi but can't find the trimmer/blower kit in Bunnings website
        Will give them a call

Would have been great if Masters sold Ryobi too - I could have saved $40 :)

Did anyone notice that they adjusted online prices for some (or all, didn't check every item…) of the catalogue items? Was looking earlier in the week during the sale and they where as advertised as per catalogue, now they are at non-catalogue prices (still have the catalogue stamp next to them).

Has anyone noticed or dealt with the pricing difference prior or post purchase?
Simple example with a front page item, Kangaroo paw:
    http://masters.smedia.com.au/catalogue/default.aspx
    https://www.masters.com.au/product/100629084/kangaroo-paw-bu…

    • Nah, not all items. The Air Compressors I listed above are still on sale (phew).

    • Dyson DC34 went up from $239 to $269 haha

  • Awesome, I'm gonna grab a webber too!
