  The amount of problems I had with my GOPRO HERO 3 BLACK, I would never buy one again.. I got a Sony Action Camera for $100 and its been great!!

      1/4" standard tripod mount give lots of mounting options. Adaptor to-from GoPro mounts also available cheaply

  They're all different specs, white is the basic entry level model.

  Heres a handy comparison chart of all three models side by side.

  edit: The chart only compares the original Gopro 3 models, not the new + editions, which are advertised here.

    The silver edition from HN for $388 is exactly the same as the silver edition from DS for $363.80

    The black edition has a greater range of features, higher resolution, higher frame rates etc.

  I have one (the plus) and I love it, it's so small you carry it everywhere and gorgeous video quality.

  True it has it's fair share of bugs, but nothing is that perfect when it first comes out.

  P.S : Get accessories from ebay, dirt cheap and work well.
