Just came back from Coles Gungahlin (Canberra) and saw the 55l esky for $39. This was the same esky that was advertised a few weeks back at half price for $42. Saw about 15 left at the store.

Ended picking one up to replace the 20 year old esky that is starting to smell a little. Makes you wonder how much they really cost Coles.
Steer clear of this model..Bought one at $42 a few weeks back…..I don't think it is insulated as it only keeps ice for a few hours… OK if you like your drinks (and food) wading in water I guess…..

If you read a little closer, you'll realise that it's the same special a few weeks back when it was 1/2 price at $42 but they have further discounted it. A little more than $3 don't you think?
I have this cooler, and it's not very good insulation wise; especially the lid as it's just full of air, not insulated.Couple of days tops in the heat with a whole bag of ice,or less if you use frozen gel packs ect…Better to spend a little more and buy a cooler once
I'm guessing it's fine for the odd trip to the beach with some frozen packs to keep the drinks cold?
Easily. Nights at parties and that kinda gear, no problems.
Just not for camping or something, really.
