  • Does it need a special skimmer box to work? My current pool cleaner is on its last legs - it connects simply via an L-shaped pipe into a circular lid which houses the skimmer basket.

  • +1

    Few more questions:
    - Is it made from UV resistant materials?
    - Can it climb side walls?

  • does it come with the vacuum plate, dual action trap door and weir doors?

  • Aldi currently have left over premium and regular vacuums going for $100 and $50 at the moment.

I don't know if they are good or not, premimum looked nicer, just saw it today at DFO moorabbin.

  • Dosn't look any better than the cheap $75 pool cleaners you get on Ebay.

  • $44 cheaper than October www.ozbargain.com.au/node/121349.

Sounds like a good price, no idea about the performance/quality.

I have bought a few no name cheapies off eBay and they seem to only last a couple of years.

I have bought one, see how it goes.

    • When it worked it was ok.

Got mine in this last offer above (October) and now in February despite storing it CAREFULLY when not in use, it has a large split in the hose just below the large wire ring. I could see it happening a month or two before it happened, but couldn't do anything to stop it.

It is now useless, after only 3 months use. Hardly quality. Not happy.

      • Warranty perhaps?

        • Oh of course and will be chasing, just commenting on product quality… And the nuisance factor of chasing a warranty, when I believe the exact same thing will happen. Cheers!

      • In the last deal, Pool and Spa warehouse said that they were providing the warranty for these units. You would hope that it would be covered by the Warranty.

Either way, isn't it just a piece of Barracuda compatible hose that you can pick-up at Bunnings?

  • Thanks bought one, right time for me as the previous one just broke down.
Let me see how this one goes.

    Thanks
    Sam
