  • With these sort of things, you need to be sure that the recharging works well re the connectors and batteries(s) etc. What is the guarantee on this?

    • There is 1 year manufacturing warranty so if it doesnt work well, we will replace or repair for you or you alternatively you can return it back to us :)

    What brand is it?

Looks no name to me - no name products in my mouth is where I draw the line.

    Any positive feedback?

    • Its Oral Care - its a generic brand but has sold extremely well with us and no complaints at all :)

  • How much water does it hold and how long before it needs refilling?

    • 220ML :)

      • Thanks, but you've only answered half my question - how long before it needs refilling, meaning how quickly does it run through that 220mL ?

        • I do apologise for that. As with all water flosses, you will need to refill it after every time you use it or every 2-3 minutes depending on how long you floss for :)

50% more effective than conventional flossing

thats amazing! only 67% of people maybe floss and of them 38% only floss 31% of their teeth and out of that 43% dont realise its 50% less effective then going to 92% of dentists to read about it in 55% of the waiting room reading material maybe

As my dentist said, 'you don't need to floss all your teeth, just the ones you want to keep' I have flossed mine for many yonks and do it in comfort sitting down so this may not suit me.

  • How would a water flosser compare to just swishing water around quickly in your mouth?

    • It's the difference of using a normal garden hose to wash a driveway and using a high pressure washer to wash a driveway. Which one do you think will do better?

  • Well, I think if you ate some say nuts and then swished your mouth and then had some more nuts and then flossed I reckon you'd find all the bits stuck in the margins between the teeth and gums, and the tight areas between the teeth that maybe only a jet of water may get between.

But it raises an interesting question, how fast is this jet?

    • 1200 pulse/min nozzle
      3-setting adjustable water pressure
      4 replaceable jet tip nozzles

  • Had an appointment with a dental hygienist today and asked her about the effectiveness of these. She claimed that they were 50% less effective than conventional flossing. Better than nothing or good for people that can't floss. Just my (or her) 2 cents.
I really hope she's wrong as do not enjoy flossing.

Edit: must apologise op, I realised just then that I enquired about air flossing. Srry

    • I asked about water floss from my dentist and he says the same, but this is in comparison to interdental brushes and not against plain flossing, which I didn't ask about. Apparently, since water flossers can't put up the pressure too high, it will never be as effective. So now, I use interdental brushes, floss, and a sonic tooth brush.

      • I would imagine water flosser would be better than conventional flossing for people with braces.

You can buy a cheaper brand name (Waterpik) water flosser on eBay.

I can not see how this is a bargain, when we can not compare this to any "real" retail store.

You can….. but it's used….. not sure I'd be wanting to put that in my mouth…..

Reminds me of the legendary Johnson & Johnson Rectal Thermometers

        • Now close your eyes and repeat out loud five times: "I am so glad I do not work for quality control at the Johnson and Johnson Company" XD

      • If it has a removable tip then it maybe ok. Just use alcohol to clean the handle. And Listerine to clean the system. Lol

I wouldn't use it. But it is an idea

I have used this one for years:
    http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-EW-DJ10-A-Oral-Irrigator/dp/…

A bit cheaper and works very well.
Lots of reviews there to read too

    • Is the water pressure strong enough to remove dirt with 2xAA rechargeable batteries?

      • 1200 pulse/min nozzle
        3-setting adjustable water pressure
        4 replaceable jet tip nozzles

        • Thanks rep, but the Panasonic has 1600 pulses per minute and $15 cheaper. I believe all the Panasonic products last 10 times longer than generic products.

        • That's what Panasonic wants you to think!

      • Easily!
With fresh batteries (I use eneloope rechargables) It's a bit strong for me so I use the lower setting for first week or so.

        • Excellent, will order one from them. How fast was the shipping took, 2 weeks?

        • Yes around 2 weeks :)

    • What's the shipping fee to Australia?

      • Its $59 including shipping so nothing additional to pay :)
