Basically you use your $450 of Vodafone flexi credit to buy heaps of 350mb data packs.
its 1.5 gb better than getting 3 x $30 telstra 'ipad' sim packs at $10 ea but it is fiddly.
there are no $30 telstra sim pack for $10 specials on now anyway. ($15 at 7/11 tho till feb 3)
)
Apparently this may not work after Jan 31 so get onto asap in case.
i saw this on the forums / whirlpool and thought others may have missed it.
you will need a voda compatable wifi modem / hotspot phone.

Telstra elite Wifi (MF60)works well(unlocked). (On Back to school special at Coles $29 BTW).(using it and Voda Data pack to do this). Just be aware to get the DATA pack called Favourites Add-on, you need to have SIM in a phone connected to the data network (ie Can't do it online or via WiFi on phone. Use the Vodafone central app, then select pack, THEN need to wait 3 minutes before adding another. So 30 CAP plan recharge, most sims default to the Flexicap, make sure you change this, online select when recharging, phone with voucher after you add value, it gives you the option to select CAP plan.
CAP $30 = 450 flexible credit \ $16 (not 8) =350mb, do this 28 times PLUS 1GB B4 31 Jan, normally 500mb) = 10.57GB valid for 30 Days, charged in Kbs (Convert to data just before your 28 days credit expires, and get 2 months worth out if it. Data has separate expiry date see T&C's http://support.vodafone.com.au/articles/FAQ/Retaining-unused…
ALSO 2GB HARD limit (in one session) imposed by network.
ALSO 1GB included data is used AFTER Favourites addon , so use this first, then add data pack.(or bit both, whatever, just use it or lose it 28days from first plan recharge)
FYI the $70 CAP is best value =32.8GB or $2.13GB as apposed to Mobile Broadband at $14.50GB.(VODA MBB 29 for 2GB)
NO scam, nothing illegal and all within current T&C's. How long it lasts, well let's see :) After Peenytel(sic) went from 25 to 99.99 or $7.19GB this is the next best thing IMHO. YMMV e&oe etc etc"
all credit to op
yeah i rarely pay > 1.4 per gb, 4.9 (with closed woolies) when these telcos are acting stingy.
