    Also same price as dealextreme

Same price as DealExtreme. Bought one from DX a couple of weeks ago for my old Eee PC and it works great even under Linux.

  • +3

    dealextreme are very reliable also

  • +3

    These are great.

    Focal Price (http://www.focalprice.com/Tiny_Bluetooth_USB_Adapter_Dongle_…)

    And dealextreme (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11866)

Are always trying to beat each others price on this. They are both nice companies :)

  • Do any of them have a price beat guarantee?

    • +1

I know DealExtreme has price matching, however because both places are selling them at the same price, there's nothing to "match".

  • USD$2.48, and you want to haggle!!!
I'm all for getting the best deal around, but there is a limit of effort v reward surely. LOL

    • it's a nice thought at least…

I doubt they ship to Australia for that price, otherwise it is a good deal for sure.

    • +6

Incorrect they ship worldwide with no charge…

      : Does Focalprice.com ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide without additional charge.

      Check before you say…
      under their shipping faq.

  • Anyone know what BT software this ships with… ?

I bought and use a MoGo BT dongle that looks identical to this (paid $30 i think), and it came with the Blue Soleil software stack for BT which is worth about $60 to buy on it's own.

For this price of $under $5 I'll just buy a couple and find out I guess…

  • i already have one,it came with generic drivers

to be honest i found blue soleil garbage, it came with another bt stick i bought from aldi, never liked it at all

i'm using this with my acer one 110 netbook that is running vista ultimate, works great and have had it for 9 or 10 months

  • I got one of these a few weeks back, it just came by itself, no software. For the life of me I can't get it working though, I managed to get it all set up and find my mobile, but it will not sync at all. Not sure what Im doing wrong, it any one knows please let me know. thanks

  • +1

sometimes they can be faulty. They should work instantly and sync with your mobile… I'd contact the place you got them from…

  • what software are you using to sync, what mobile, what OS are you running?

  • Just purchased.

  • -1

    That's the normal price.

  • Any one ordered from focalprice.com?. I used dealextreme few times and they are good, not heard of this much.

  • +2

yo headstrap, just connect it to your pc and windows installer will download the drivers via the net, its all good

    • thanks dude! sounds good!! have bought so see how it goes…

  • +1

Every day price with free shipping 365 days/yr so nothing special!

    • I agree.

  • I bought the same thing for $15, this is cheap!

  • +1

It's funny - you walk into a Telechoice store and buy a similar thing for $30-40, and it comes with pirated software.. hilarious!

    • +1

That's because - I know for a fact - that in most cases they have 300%+ margin. eg. a bluetooth headset sold for $80 bucks might be bought at 'cost price' for $20 bucks.

  • +1

I got one. Thanks for pointing it out, was like $6 last time i saw, and decided against it cause i was comparing it with other ones. But $2.50 is nothing, so i bit the bullet.
It also got me looking at some other stuff, and i ended up buying a mobile phone car mount cradle too for $7.50.
    Cheers.

  • Only bought this 'cos i just got me an EeePC from COTD! :-) Great accesory for it.

Mine has already arrived! 1 week, (5 business days) from DealXtreme in China with free shipping is bloody fast.
Comes with no software/driver CD, just came loose in a little plastic bag. I had ordered a cell phone car mount too (boxed), which came in a padded bag, so the BT dongle was just tossed in the padded satchel with it.

Just downloaded Bluetooth Soleil 6 for free from here:-
    http://www.bluesoleil.com/Download/index.asp?topic=bluetooth…

    Will report back later.

    • +1

Just FYI, I don't think the downloaded version of BlueSoleil is a freeware. It's a trial copy IIRC.

  • Yes you're right pauly. However i got the full version, but the dongle doesn't work properly. It can find devices sometimes but can't send files or connect. I'll try and test it with another computer, but i've only got my laptop which has built in bluetooth so i don't know if i can test it on that.

Anyone else got one not working properly?

    Might try WIDCOMM.
