My bumper hasn't worn down at all, but the bumpers do get dirty so quickly.
Buttons are hard to press, but get slightly better with time.
I actually feel my nexus 5 is very secure in my grey original bumper case. I don't feel the hardness of the power / volume buttons detract from it at all.

It won't combine postage for me to Perth. Trying to checkout with a Nexus 5 Bumper and Nexus 7 Sleeve results in a $25.95 shipping charge!
